And again, it didn't have the hustler AI installed, it was missing it's trump card, but still held up to the performance of an experienced new type in a custom suit. It's no Ideon or anything crazy like that, but as far as war machines go, it's hard to ask for more.

I'm guessing Nineball's fame far surpasses White Glint's. Epic music for an epic machine. I'm just glad I don't have to face this unit in Armored Core 4 Answer. The NEXTs I fight there are trouble enough.

Nine Ball has had far more appearances. White Glint only showed up twice, AC 4 had Joshua O'Brian piloting the OG which didn't have unique parts that I recall. Then For Answer had Anatolia's Mercenary using a rebuild White Glint with unique parts that got peoples attention properly. Meanwhile, Nine Ball showed up in Armored Core. Yes, AC1, the original, as the top ranked Raven and final boss, Twice. Master of Arena's entire story revolved around the player's character (Leo's Klien though not named until AC 2) working to face Nine Ball as revenge. It included fighting Nine Ball. Then _two_ Nine Balls at once, and then Nineball Seraph. That's the one I think most people remember strongly, because good god that was hard. In AC2 Another Age, there is a mission to face Nineball as an 'unknown AC that is killing off Ravens' and described as 'an older model'. Armored Core 3 had a pair of Unmanned AC's as it's final boss equivalent in reference to AC 1 and Master of Arena. (Being the second remake of Armored Core 1 essentially.) Silent Line's final boss, IBIS uses a similar unit in different color scheme to Nineball Seraph Nexus has a mission to face a recreation of Nineball Seraph as bonus content. Last Raven rewarded you the parts to recreate Nine Ball entirely (not Seraph, just the original) for S ranking some of the hardest content ever in an Armored Core game. (I may be missing a couple of references and appearances, that's how ubiquitous Nine Ball is in the series.) Amusingly, in the original Armored Core, Nine Ball didn't have unique music. Instead the same music as the first mission of the game played, Circulation specifically.

@CodeR2Gundam00 From what I remember, the title of Ninebreaker first arose when Nineball was defeated at the end of AC: MOA. It was then handed out to those who could defeat the top-ranked Raven. Leos Kline was a Ninebreaker, so he was at the top at one point. Likewise, Ares is as well, until you defeat him, that is.

@videoscannermetru Well to be fair White Glint is new to the scene by comparison (granted it's an awesome design) but Nineball is one of those bosses that haunts games as a challenge point for the player. I know plenty of people that walked into the AC:AA fight with him and got roflstomped.

@Van0079 There are several incarnations of him throughout pretty much every AC save for 2, 3 and Silent Line. There are similar models but no major encounters between 2:AA and Nexus. He actually made his very first appearance in the first game during missions but Master of Arena was where the running fame of Nineball being a terror came from. Its also why the antagonist of AC:2 had any merit. They even gave the thing a cameo in the AC Novel beating up on someone.

After foiling a lot of his plans to keep things in order, he deems you a threat that has to be taken care of personally, so he brings you out somewhere to fight his Seraph body. Once he's beaten, he's gone for good. Nobody knew who created him, and all we know is that he was supposed to "protect" what was left of humanity and the world.

In Nexus he disappeared but this time instead of trying to fix mankind, he decided to wipe everything out to start again (suicide bombs). 9 Breaker they train you and he's the last boss. Last Raven, he comes back as a mysterious AI controlling the pulverizers. 9 Ball is an AI that secretly controls humanity and is always a step ahead. His original seraph form looks and moves much like a next from AC5, and that was all the way back in MOA.

He originally came from Armored Core: Master of Arena as the final boss. He was remembered for being a rape machine, and he's made re-appearances since then. He appeared in Armored Core 2: Another age as an extra boss, and he was harder than before because he was the exact same as the first game, while AC2's ACs were weaker gameplay-wise than the first game's ACs. He also appeared in Another Century's Episode: R as an extra boss, which is where this remixed version of his theme comes from.

The AA fight against regular Nineball was supposedly a rouge or missing unit, since those things were mass-produced. It doesn't help its arena is basically the training room for the original Raven's Nest. Also, Seraph originated in MoA.

Actually In Armored core nexus the final boss was named '????????' in the american version, in the japanese version the boss was named nineball. this boss was a pulverizer prototype based off nineball's original design and colorscheme (with slight variances) this followed into last raven where the pulverizors became more prominent and managed to evolve from the nineball archetype.

I just strafed a giant circle with him chasing, and by the time he paused to slash he'd miss by a narrow margin

It's been confirmed Nineball is going to comeback in AC5....this time he makes his Seraph form look like an E-ranker, mainly do to A.I. intelligence. So hiding won't work, do to buildings being destructable. So expect him to piss you off more that Final Zinaida and 2nd Final Pulverizer, even though it is reported you will have "N.E.X.T." allies more than the usual 1-2.

Hustler-One's not that high on the tom pole of "really good pilots". Sure, he's got inhuman capabilities and doesn't need to worry about the limitations of the human body, but that doesn't mean he's gonna outclass everyone. Hell, the Frontier VFs had systems in the cockpit to help ignore or limit G-forces, so then its up to the skill of the pilot. I fear to see what Max Jenius could do in NB Seraph.
