Let me just be clear to a few others who do not know from whence I derive…. I started music on a pure Mukanya beat, added Tuku Musik beat, borrowed Sa baqamba which is a South African ‘madhlozi’ beat, adopted a Lucky Dube beat, then house music, even packaged my voice on Sungura beat, some of my songs are on a Chioniso Maraire and Stella Chiweshe fusion, then zimdance hall came yesterday, so did Amapiano, and have you heard of the current Heartbreak on Drill? As for the Mbira beat, it’s in my DNA. If this versatility is labeled being lost, please I don’t want to be found. I consider Gospel to be “a message” but if Gospel is a beat to you, then it’s safe to say I have never been a Gospel artist because I have relied on borrowing sounds from the most happening circular artists of time from the onset. My voice is the only instrument I control and I will always be content with packaging a socially correct message with a Christian perspective on any beat and u are welcome to label it anything. I will not be stopped because the gift I follow is bigger than you and me and our misunderstandings . Stay blessed and thank you for the flowers.
