I like that you're not making a fuzz about not sending every feature and that you're leaving this in. The mental struggle with fear is a big part of mountainbiking for all of us. "There no shame in pushing your bike and living another day." as Brian (BKXC) would put it. ;)

It's weird hearing the word "janky" used to refer to natural terrain. It's always meant things that are either poorly constructed, or man made things that are in a broken down state. I'm pretty sure it originated in Oakland/Bay Area from the same time and culture as the word "hella". There was no intention in the creation or existence of natural terrain, it isn't supposed to be smoother and therefore can not be janky.
@VanCan4 жыл бұрын
I hear what you're saying, but everyone I know and everywhere I've seen, it's basically a synonym for awkward and hard to flow.
@dburns41564 жыл бұрын
@@VanCan Yea, I've heard it used that way in other Canadian(mostly) videos as well, it just never stood out as much as in this one because you said it so many times throughout the video, lol. The meaning must have evolved that direction in Canada/PNW. I remember first hearing it used to make fun of cars in the cruising/sideshow scene in Oakland in the late 80's/early 90's that were busted but the owners would try to make them look good by putting on neon stickers, spoilers, ground effects, and cutting the springs so they would scrape the ground.
