ABRSM Violin Grade 3 Scales and Arpeggios

Ive really been struggling with remembering my scales and arpeggios and this has really helped me out. Thanks so much!

glad it helps! if you have trouble remembering them, try to memorise the pattern instead of the notes, that way you can never 'forget' it. for example arpeggios are always the 1st, 3rd, 5th note of the scale. so if it starts on an A, it's ace, if it starts on c, it's ceg, if it starts on e, it's egb... you can see how the pattern starts to repeat itself. Also on the violin because 3rds are 2 notes apart, there are only a few possible fingerings, if it starts on 0, it has to be 020, if it starts on 2, it's 202, if it starts on 1, it's 131, if it starts on 3, it's 313. Hope that makes sense! Scales are patterns of whole tones and semitones so in reality there are really only ever 3 patterns.
