@martymatthews130411 ай бұрын
Exactly. Because also, Beauvillier was part of these interviews too before he got traded. He probably got asked these questions too but because he's no longer a Canuck, they probably decided not to show him.

@Ciscoho11 ай бұрын
I really hope they don't get rid of Kuzmenko. He's a natural goal scorer and he is only in his second year and still learning. This level of skill is hard to find. He just needs his coach to instill more confidence in him rather than be scared to death to make a mistake and get benched.

It's one thing to ask a Russian player well above 6 feet tall like Zadorov or Malkin to play a hard, gritty game, but a 5'9 Russian player who has never played that way before? And if he doesn't fit the vision of the team, why was he signed in the first place? As well, he's there to score goals and the last time he was healthy scratched, they scored a single goal - from their 3rd line. And then I hear rumours of and fans advocating for a trade to "beef up" the offence involving Kuzmenko - on a team that leads the league in goals per game. The player in this case doesn't have clout, so if the coach doesn't like him, we know who management will side with. Obviously you don't want to go back to past seasons where defence was optional, but having one guy who can make plays and put up points (when used correctly) is pretty important. I can foresee one of two things happening: either he gets traded for next to nothing because they killed his trade value OR he finally starts playing the way Tocchet wants, and as a result, he's forechecking in the corners, gets destroyed by a bigger defenseman and ends up with a season ending concussion because he's not suited to that role. Not everyone on a forward line has to be the forechecker. You need a guy by the net to receive a pass for a scoring chance. If that's considered "lazy," well, Rick did coach in Arizona, a team that couldn't score.
