Hi! Homestay agent is the one who will help you to find homestays. Through the agent, you can see the homestay families background (for example where are they from, how many people are in the house, their hobbies, etc.) before choosing them. You can also see the room that you will get if you choose that homestay family. If you feel like it’s not suitable for you, then the agent can give you more options! You will also pay the rent through the agent, not directly to the host. Usually it’s slightly more expensive through an agent because you’re paying for their service as well :) If you’re concerned about safety, my advice for you is to find one through a homestay agent! Once you’re familiar with canada, then you can find another homestay on your own / move to an apartment if you want! Hope this helps! 😄 Thank you for your support!
