Hello, I am thinking about going there in the end of October, is it a good idea? or will I be getting cold weather, ice, rain, snow and closed roads? I also want to rent a car there, I guess the Victoria international airport should have it. any ideas? should I not go there?

I live in Vancouver and have visited nearly 150 times over the last 30 yrs for up to 3 weeks at a time. My wife (grew up in Courtenay} and I still have many things to see and do there in the future. Wonderful place.

No its Canada, nobody cares. You can generally do whatever you want here, we have laws but dont enforce them cause the police are cool and know that they are stupid.
