This was probably not a suspicious package considering Medic 8 and BCAS showed up. Was most likely a medical call that required a police presence first, like a assault or stabbing etc. Any suspicious package call that would require fire would be something where the Hazmat team would be sent, not a medic unit.

My brother heard word of a suspicious package but i do believe there was a fight at this location at the same time. I would never think the medic unit would come out to a suspicious package call unless someone needed medical help, that would not make sense. They use the Code 3 Z3 Siren, but the sound you are hearing at 0:45 is the rumbler siren which is essential a siren that emits low frequency waves that you can "feel"

I heard about what those cops in Vancouver did to that poor guy Myles Gray and it brought me to tears. It sadly ruined the prospect of me ever trusting them as a team. I will never ever go to Vancouver until I hear that justice has been served for that horrible incident. Until the family has been compensated and the police officers are serving time in jail. They need to do the right thing or quit as a service because they have failed in the worse possible way there is.

If it were a suspicious package they would've blocked the streets off evacuates civilians and called in the ERT and they would send a 1 alarm response from the fire department.

I only said possible suspicious package because there was mention of it at the scene and a hockey bag was in fact recovered. It was my brother that heard the term "suspicious package" but he couldn't identify who made the comment. I also heard about a fight. That's what the homeless guy was talking about near the end of the video. I don't understand why Vancouver police have gone against the prevailing opinion of just about every police force I know which thinks brighter colours make their cars more visible and colored their cars black. I don't know of anyone else who still has black cars in this day and age.
