I'm gonna be real, this has been the greatest game i've ever seen my club play. Winning 5-0 "At Home" against a local rival in a MLS Playoff game, after the terrible run of form we were in to finish off the regular season AND losing the Cascadia Cup to this Timbers team, Is quite a statement from the club heading into the next series against LAFC. Regardless what happens in that series, I'm gonna be enjoying this game for a long time. What a night, What a game, Bring on LAFC!

@Yoshilover46 Definitely an awesome result! I do though recall a handful of years back the Caps beating San Jose in a playoff game 5-0 or was it 4-0? Anyways, either way it was the best outcome for a club that desperately needs a collective confidence booster shot because their next opposition will be significantly more formidable in LAFC. @SportsGirl1524 Would have been even nicer if the dickhead COV municipal government had approved the Caps proposal for a soccer specific stadium near Crab Park in E Van. Not only would this have eliminated the problem, but the stadium would have been fitted with real grass and then been more attractive to older soccer stars who generally avoid playing on artificial grass given it's increased liklihood of causing injuries. But unfortunately, this long running narrative bedroom community, no fun city once again derailed yet another attempt at providing a first class facility for the sport. I quite dislike the developer whore finger puppets that typically make up Vancouver City Hall. It's that provincial mentality that consistently prevents Vancouver from becoming a truly cosmopolitan, world class city. Bastards!

Timber defense is non-existent, 5 goals allowed in 58 minutes at home. This team gave up on Savarese and now Neville. Timbers act like spoiled children that were never disciplined. Ball-watchers and slackers need to get traded or waived. This game was a nasty fart in a packed elevator.

timbers played plant: they weren’t marking up and just letting the other player have so much space. i have to give it to whitecaps that they okayed great, even as a timbers fan, but we cannot be playing that, especially in a playoff game.

its been clear for over two years that the Timbers defense, most of the time, sucks. Time to clear the roster on defense. In the post game interview Diego Chara said it was time for no more kids, he was right on the mark. My guess is that he means, Moreno, Mosquera and Williamson. I've seen them goofing off in warmups and being way too nonchalant. Moreno has backslid this year, not matured and elevated his skills. Maybe there's more to their apparent attitude than just goofing off. Deal them while they have value, spend on a DP defender and players who take their jobs seriously.
