I can't believe there was once a period of time when singers actually sang and did it live. I can't also believe there was a time when we dressed aged appropriate and you only had the song to focus on and nothing else. Some singers I am glad they faded away or not active today. Because it means I can remember them the way I want and not see good talent be forced to do what is happening today.

You can really her the influence on Aaliyah. I never realized it but Aaliyah copied a great deal of Tracie. Aaliyah had a smokier tone and not as much power. Aaliyah had stronger melismas in her head voice though. Interesting. Tracie was just before my generation. I was a hard core Aaliyah fan. Tracie's music sounds like the stuff played in my mom's car, lol. Now, my own kids think Aaliyah's music sounds old. Touché. 😂
