This interview has got to be one of the greatest one Strombo had ever done so far. Vandana Shiva is the modern version of Ghandi, I am so glad I came across her videos.
@elizabelle19679 жыл бұрын
Let me second that Cesar. She's bright, clear thinking and communicates so well. She's also productive and means "business" when it comes to activism. The corporate's nightmare in just a cotton dress :-)
@Mike-gf1bl9 жыл бұрын
Ghandi? LOL she is a crackpot fake scientist "educating" in a field she has no training or research in and she speaks about poverty while impoverishing get own country as she flies around the country in her private jet. "Ghandi" ..I don't think so.
@23gregorius4 жыл бұрын
The comparison with Ghandi is not so good as Ghandi did permit the partition of India, the worst of the worst to the function of a free India. If you read the works of Sri Aurobindo you know that India is the Mother of all nations which lack the spiritual guidance. He saw that the partition of India will ultimately end and it will be left to us whether by peaceful action or war.

Please listen - it takes 10 imputs to get 1 output in chem. arable agriculture and is subsidised. For the record, 50-60 imputs to an animal for eating to get one out. Paid for by the tax payer and undermining prices of trad. mkts supplied w. natural produce. Thats why food is now getting more expensive as these subsidies go! Not even discussing GMO or pollution. Food commodity policy, by WTO & SKIM/GAT by Europe causes Inefficiency & food is not cheap. We pay directly or indirectly, always!

I cannot appreciate Vandana Shiva enough for opening my mind to this; in contrast with nature which aims at ecological diversity and balance in its growth process, the modern corporation aims to grow forever, first organically then inorganically and in so doing destroy entirely networks which small and medium scale enterprises rely on. Yet, the modern investor plays a bigger role in all of this.

Mr. Warren lauzon i am from india and working in FCI a food procuring agency for government of india. You commented that India has History of Femine as shown by indian governements but you missed the point that all the femines were artificicially planted by the then british governments and later after indian independence miss management of grains bcoz of less unscientific storage facilities and introduction of Green Revolution or i say it monoculture of crops. Though femine conditions did happen in india before green revolution or GM crops but the indigenious storage systems in indian villages and variety of crops made it possible for (Bhartiye) indians to survive.
