Adrian Vandenberg is a HIGHLY underrated guitarist and should be held in the same esteem as many other accomplished guitarist's.

Adrian Vandenberg, Michael Schenker and Pat McManus , Randy Rhoads, are the only guitarrists that i know Who don't repeat scales mechanically. They compose solos and each guitar solo is distinct to another one.

One of my favourites and best band in 80s. They're very awesome especially Adrian Vandenberg, love the way he played and live in Japan was the best show ever. I have seen it time after time. Thought that if we could go back in 60s70s 80s 90s ...life is like in heaven it's a real music .

When I heard "This Burning Heart" in late '82, I thought these guys were the next Deep Purple. Oh well?! Adrian didn't get the recognition he deserved until he joined White Snake, Cool to hear "Welcome to the Club" here. Excellent show.}}}

I like Adrian Vandenberg's solos!!! They sound like they are carefully crafted as in the musical notes fit perfectly within the chord structure of the songs!!! Yet Adrian is playing with lots of feeling!!!! I like his finger hand vibrato!!!!🙂 He is a very melodic guitar player!!!! Kind of reminds me of Michael Schenker!!!🙂😊☺🙂🤓🤓🤓 For the time 1984!!! The post Van Halen style of guitar playing were there was a lot shred like speedy and flashy guitar solos with finger tapping and whammy bar antics by a lot of Guitarists ( Ex: George Lynch, Warren De Martini, Carlos Cavazo, Bruce Kulick, Mark Kendall, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen and Akira Takasaki) one can see that Adrian was more into the old school style of lead guitar (less flashy and play for the song) and classical guitar like rock!!! (Neo Classic)!!!!🙂😊☺🙂
@sebia123 жыл бұрын
True to an extent : Yes Adrian has one of the best solos in history not just in the 80's ( Burning Heart) , along with others His is very technical , and had TONE . However he lacks riffs compared to others from the era ( Def Lep, Motley Crue, Scorpions,Judas Priest and many others).The finger tapping was never attractive except for Randy Rhoads that did it justice.
@michaelbujanda87853 жыл бұрын
@@sebia12 Yeah. I will admit some of Adrian's songs sound a little generic and cliché during the 80s!!! But a lot of bands and artists copied each other or followed the trend.🙂🙂🙂 Oh well I still liked Vandenberg any way!!!! The first 3 records Adrian did where my favorite as a teenager!!!!😃🙂😃🙂
@larslevinberget95582 жыл бұрын
@@sebia12 Those 3 records are loaded with the best riffs! Just listen to "Voodoo" from Alibi...my all time favorite riff, and what might have inspired Metallica on Master of puppets...you better get your counting down, for this one!

Kamikaze sounds like it could have been a cut from Blizzard or Diary...very Rhoads-esque. What a shame, imo, that he didn't get really recognized until he joined Whitesnake. But after that he just faded away. What a talent and inspiration from the '80's catching my attention by his unique approach to melody and timing. Miss this band, lol!

Just saw the latest lineup of Vandenberg live. Sadly they only played a couple Vandenberg songs and the rest were songs from Whitesnake's "87" and "Slip of the Tongue" albums. The new lineup sounded great, but I definitely miss these songs.
@gabrielbrouwer5 ай бұрын
Apparently the promoters in the US wanted him to do more Whitesnake songs. For the Dutch part of the tour they played a lot more Vandenberg songs. They only played 3 Whitesnake songs.
