The part of the father leading his son to the preacher only to be told "God will strike you down and watch you burn," reminded me of how many people have been misled to think that God is a hateful being by hateful men who think they serve Him, but really only serving their own personal agendas of hate based in their own self loathing. The LORD does not hate us; only humans who have it twisted do so. I'm as much a sinner as anybody else, and I struggle with such things regularly, but the fact I keep trying and keep striving to be a good person keeps me going. Or as Martin Luther famously said: "Be a sinner and sin boldly, but believe and rejoice in Christ even more boldly, for he has conquered sin, death, and the world. As long as we are here in this world, we must sin." I interpret that as meaning "We're all human, we're flawed, and we sin; don't beat yourself up over it, but learn from it and move on." Would that more people could understand the wisdom of those words.

Awesome song. Many think Slip of the Tongue was Coverdale and Vai but we all forget that Vanderberg was totally involved in the songwriting process. Besides the old hits and Skyes’s Whitesnake contributions, part of Whitesnakes legacy is this sound that Vanderberg helped with. I am glad to here this sound again.

better than anything else ive heard in a long time his playing is epic brilliant people need to listen to his last album with ronnie romero this song has it all it delivers on every level this is better than last in line new stuff better than elegant angels etc etc --it still has that evil feel in the solos like the epic dio stuff i love vivian campbell vibrato this even exceeds that with his incredible solo flourishes here again after hearing last vandenberg album with romero theres no doubt adrian is spot on killing it

Adrian is a great guitarist without a doubt, but it’s definitely copy/paste. Even some lyrics are very similar to what Coverdale did. I’ve always been of the opinion that Adrian should hire different singer. The guy has always problem with identity of the band. I prefer to hear someone who has an identity and unique in his singing style, not someone who try to be someone’s clone. Mats was better on Yngwie’s album. Now he has lost his identity. There’s nothing new or fresh in this song. Quality is there, but musically…
