I bought this video 11 years ago, still getting thrilled after watching it again and again. It is truly a great piece of music played by instruments and visual.

I discovered this work through Tim Rutherford-Johnson's book on music after 1989. This is one of my favorite post-2000 compositions I've heard!

I’m so glad The NY Times introduced me to Michel and this work. It’s riveting. There is more to the story than I can take in during one listen. I’ll gladly put in the work.

I've heard a great deal of new music in my life. This piece, which I stumbled upon, is one of the finest discoveries in memory, superb in every way.

Wow, wow, wow! Stumbled upon this completely randomly, literally with a search for the term "up-close"... holy shit. This is spectacular! This music is devastating, devastating, devastating in subtlety and assertiveness. I love the layers of sound beyond the orchestra. Made my evening, and I'm sure to delve into more of your stuff! Keep at it!

Thanks to a music friend in Ann Arbor I listened for the first time ever to v/dAa who is this cellist and orchestra? Wish I could see the partitur and where is location of acting somewhere in The Netherlands? Feels like war conditions and lots of fear.
