Interesting video! In the early 90’s I worked for a Canadian company who consulted for Vanderlande when they were doing the very initial development of Bagtrax. We handled the propulsion design (linear motors) and I was responsible for the longitudinal control and simulation, basically high speed track sections and up/downgrades and switch outs (called diverters back then IIRC) as well as linear motor controls. Back in the 90’s the technology was still very new and it was uncertain whether the ICS concept would catch on (those were the days when memories of the Denver system failure were still fresh in most people’s minds ;). It’s very cool to see that not only is Bagtrax/ICS now mainstream but it is so much more polished and flexible than we originally had in mind. Great work Vanderlande!!
