I nanny a 5 year old, I’ve been her nanny since she was 3. I showed her high school musical the first week I had her and she watches it all the time. She loved “get your head in the game” so much that she’s actually interested in basketball now!!

Miley’sMommy #CDH I had a similar situation but with my kindergarten teacher. My school made the kindergarteners (idk if they do it anymore) do a show and they choose a different movie with songs for each year. They chose HSM for us. My class did all in this together and we actually took 2 months to learn a dance for it. We tried copying the actual video at first but then for the harder part they made us do something else. Anyways that’s off topic! One day she said “We are taking a break from learning the dance and we are going to watch all three movies today!” and we were all super excited! We watched them all (surprisingly in one day) and I became amazed with it! That’s what led me to watch my childhood movie, Descendants, because I knew Kenny Ortega was directing that one as well as HSM. Edit: It’s the reason I dance and sing now they inspired me when I was a little girl. And Kenny continued to inspire me with the Descendants franchise.

High School Musical was LITERALLY my world. It was my KZbin username, (low key still is even tho i'm 26, peep corbinbleu lmao) , I had the t-shirts, I would re-watch the movies over and over again. On my 13th birthday I didn't want any present- the biggest gift was that I got to watch HSM 2 premiere live with my friends and family.
