Will's version is good, but you just can't replicate the richness and texture of Vessel's voice. Once you hear Vessel sing it, everything else pales in comparison.

@@Kelly_Cook Yah, man. The vocals aren't meant to be harsh and overpowering. That's not the point of the song. Will's clean vocals here just sounds like a guy attempting a cover. His cleans don't fit the mood of the song at all, and so, he resorts to what he's comfortable doing...harsh deathcore screams, which on their own are cool, but they don't really fit the mood of the song. There's nothing hypnotic about someone doing deathcore screams. Vessel's calculated breathiness and repeated vocal runs are what's hypnotic, like someone in a trance repeating a chant over and over.

“To the hellfire” is a showcase of Will’s vocal talent, but the “pain remains” trilogy is where the feels are. Pull up the lyrics, watch the music videos, and have yourself a good cry.

It's insane that the first time you heard Will Ramos was when he was singing. So backwards. You were right about one thing -- His screams are the best out there. His range in screams is unmatched. He's straight up metal/deathcore.

Love Will as a vocalist doing what he does best (death mode) but Vessel is better at the cleans, technically. Putting vocal tone preferences aside, Will has a way to go on cleans. I have no doubt he will get there. The wig looks good on you I think but If I never saw your vids and I randomly saw you in public I might think you were one of those people Tom MacDonald raps about. 😁 Also check out Jinjer if you haven't yet. Also, make sure you have tissues ready. Your eyes will water😭 Will has the best harsh vocals ever in any type of Metal. To the Hellfire might be a better song to react to first. Vessel wrote it...Will only covers it. Personally Ive never listen to Will and honestly never will (all pun intended lol). Nothing beats the ORIGINAL creativity of a brilliant musician who COMPOSED all of these amazing songs from his imagination. One is a King the other simply a follower riding off the coatails of anothers creativity. Being a musician myself I stand behind my honest opinion. If you listen to them back to back its really hard to say the original is better. I love sleep Token and generally prefer their style to the lead singers band (Lorna Shore), but the mixing and details he adds during the cover make the original just seem basic. I truly enjoy both versions and of course, all due respect to the original writing, however for me he out does them in the cover from start to finish. My sole critique is that when he was hitting those falsetto runs in the bridge the vocals should have been bumped up 1 notch because the runs he performs there are just flawless and after every listen I always wish they stood out more.

I prefer wills cover if hypnosis and chokehold. It’s don’t care for will version of dark signs or rain. He sang the wrong lyrics in rain 3 times and I can’t get down with that 😢 I do love his cover of slow dancing in the dark and his song riptide. Lorna Shore is death core metal dunno if you’re into that. He sounds like a demon lol

Nah, people haven't "came to dub" it screamo, because "screamo" is an *actual* hardcore & punk-adjacent genre that's been around for decades, and it's nowhere near the stylistic spaces that Lorna Shore move around in. And it ain't even casual listeners, like, Will's fans didn't even know the man _could_ sing until he started playin around with ST lmao That said, Lorna Shore isn't my thing either, but I love Will Ramos anyway. He's such a kind and charismatic guy, how could you not!
