At 69, I've lived a life on my own terms, never married or having children and I'm grateful for that. Unfortunately, I attracted people who didn't have my best interest at heart . I shudder to think what my life would have been like if I had committed to any of them. Thankfully, I always trusted my own instincts and refused to let others dictate my path. My independence has been my shield and my salvation period.
