The government has decided to respond to an electrical shortage by shutting down the electricity in the entire country on the Full Moon Eclipse on the night of September 18 from 10pm to 6am the next day. They acknowledge that telephones won't work, so... they suggest that people buy whistles, so they can be heard if something happens, because people will be unlikely to reach police or fire services by phone. Ecuador has the second highest murder rate in Latin American just under Venezuela. They are planning to do the same thing 4 nights next week. The roads won't have any streetlights, so it''s pretty difficult to leave easily, if one lives far from an airport. This feels like a nightmere, like planned chaos. I felt this as soon as the pandemic started. I saw the increase in fear brought on much darkness. I moved and retired from the NYC area to a rural spot and started a homestead. I have stored up enough supplies for a couple of years and I raise my meat and grow vegetables. Planted fruit trees which should start fruiting next year.
