Amusing. But since they are basically giving those things away, no reason a lucky scrub couldn't get a patch early on. Then too, there is the 'Inspector Clouseau Effect' to consider. Put another way, the World's Best Swordsman probably has some idea how to fight whoever is i the number 2 slot. But the World's WORST Swordsman? Completely unpredictable, no way of knowing what the guy might do and, as we all know, 'if it; stupid and it works...". :)

@@TbullGaming Nope, Vanguard sounds identical to Mogami which has 203s and totally different to the Warspite which has almost exactly the same guns. Like I said, a small detail but one I hope they fix all the same. :)

On the 'Black Hole' strategy, my own theory is that it is kind of an 'unnatural selection' thing going on. A lot of Players keep getting killed fast when they go charging ahead, and so conclude that doing the opposite is the best survival strategy. OK, your side mightn't actually win, but individual you doesn't die in the first minute of the game either. Then too, in a 'Take The Base' game, keeping a big chunk of your fleet close to your own base can arguably be seen as a smart move - for the enemy to break through, they'll probably have to leave their own base mostly uncovered, and we all know how THAT can go.

I don't dis agree with what you're saying, but two points: if a player cannot consistently stay alive longer than one or two minutes unless they hide out of range, they are playing at too high of a tier for their current skill level. And I would argue there is a difference between staying within range of being able to defend the base, and sitting in the base outside of range of the enemy for vast stretches of the game. If a battleship has no target the instant their guns load, they are out of position

I've gotten pretty good at angling the Warspite. Once you figure out how the armor works, you know how to sail against others. Just unlocked the Nagato last night...got lots of learning to do on getting the angle figured out...🤔

Nagato? I was infuriated by the thing in the beginning. Slow, inaccurate, takes a day to turn, too small a hull, etc. I almost sold it. After I maxed it out and got its grip, it's my favorite battleship. Two pieces of advice. 1) Get a central position and use its range 2) play against the AI till you improve your accuracy enough to score more than 5 citadels/game.

@@archimedesnation...thanks! My aim isn't too bad (Long ago graduate of the Tbull school of aiming), but, yes, I'm agreeing with you on long range, central positions. It's my first tier 6, so the Ship Tiers 101 op plus an epic booster gave me enough xp on the first game to upgrade the hull and engines. This helps a lot. Plus, Japan is the only nation for whom I have a Dispersion Captain (Takagi). I do think I'll go back to bots for a bit with it, to get more long range target practice... Have to say, loving the British battleships. Up to the QE right now and saving for the KGV. Very much the thinking players ships imo. Used well they can hammer the enemy....used wrong and THEY GONE !

The Bismarck should not be immune to being Citadeled. If you go down to the Bismarck's wreck you will find a 14 inch hole and its belt Armour leading right into its Citadel, courtesy of the Prince of Wales at the Battle of the Denmark Strait

Depends how much research you want to do. Watching PC reviews of ships is one good way. What you see in the console version is close to what you normally see in the PC version. You should research the ships themselves. We know WG uses citadel placement to balance ships. The armor arrangement, however, tends to stay rather static--though WG will jigger hull shell values for balance. We do need an armor viewer, but mostly to see how they're modeling the citadel--the armor is usually very close to what the ships actually had.

Love your videos but at 7:05 you’re not actually citadeling the Bismarck. You’re getting 5 regular AP pens. That’s the thing about the German BB’s. The turtleback doesn’t make you immune to damage at close range. You’re still going to take damage from AP pens. But against another BB? You likely would have seen an even HIGHER damage count from that salvo. A single actual citadel would have almost done as much damage. The turtleback armor is working there but a broadside at that range is going to result in heavy damage regardless. But if he DIDN’T have the turtleback? You would likely have killed him outright with that salvo.

I honestly don’t understand why Vanguard takes a lot of damage. Which is historically inaccurate as she was literally an improved KGV. Bad enough Hood, Scharnhorst, and Gneisenau we’re TECHNICALLY fast battleships (only called Battlecruisers by the Allies because of their speed and notably Scharnhorst-class’ 11-inch guns). While she is difficult to turn with a 850 meter Turning Circle, her Rudder Shift is also a LOT slower than her on PC (which was 9.7 seconds btw) but even with upgrades and Skills and all that, if you get torpedoes on you, 9 times out of 10, you’re taking on or more of them guaranteed. While her Turning Circle is fairly common for T7, there are a fair amount of BBs that turn better, like Alabama and Monarch especially. I can’t fault them for the 850 meter turning circle though, as historically hers was actually 940 yards (859.536 meters), so she actually turns nearly 10 meters tighter so it’s a little generous, but given she shares the same Turning Circle in-game with the likes of Bismarck, Tirpitz, Richelieu, and Jean Bart, none of those ships take anywhere close as much damage as Vanguard (and that’s not even counting how easy she is to Citadel Hit either). My problems with Vanguard are the same with Hood. A large turning circle while being fast, but unnecessarily take way too much damage for its own good. I know they did that to Hood because battlecruiser status (but even though THAT is incorrect, the game erroneously states that she had “weak horizontal armor” which is blatantly untrue) and is treated as if she was Renown/Repulse who had very thin armor, whereas Hood’s horizontal armor was at least 12" when she was initially built and was designed armor-wise as an improvement over the QE's armor scheme, so 🤷‍♂️ she shouldn’t be so frail. The same applies to Vanguard with the KGVs, her armor was improved over them. Every time I run her it’s kind of annoying when it seems like her armor scheme is treated like as if she’s a battlecruiser, which she wasn’t.

Secondary builds... There are a few incompetent morons playing the game who believe a secondary build is the best way to set up a ship like the Bismarck... But in reality, sometimes it's just fun to set up a secondary build, pull up into a group of 3 enemy ships kill them all and somehow survive while watching your secondaries unleash holy hell. Because it's fun and games are for fun.

Well I don't have the 4th perk for range, but the accuracy should be as good as I can get it. I'd prefer the quicker cycle through damage con over a bit more range. British BBs don't tend to have killer pen at max range anyways

Vanguard was completed in 1946. By that point Radar technology had made spotting planes obsolete, so there was no point in wasting space on the ship for aircraft facilities.

Who are you talking about ? Iowa takes almost zero skill to play. People slam it in reverse and sit in the back sniping careless cruiser players. They don’t push objectives then blame it on everyone else when their outnumbered teammates get decimated and they get swarmed. It’s a known playstyle and is promoted by low skill players. If you want to camp and post glory videos and lose games, that’s fine too. If you want to win more and you’re watching this channel you LL learn , play smarter and get better. Objective tactical play, teamwork . End of story

I try to mix it up a bit. I've tried quick turns, reverse angle, I try to play them close to the same . 45- bow tank , back and forth. Push one side first then change it up. Still get caught broad side anyways some where, Lol. it's like playing a huge Pensacola. Love the game and your vids! And just asked . No judging here.

@@Bohdisattva326 yes I've seen this a lot. How ever I've also watched teammates turn and lemming rush all to one side leaving the battle ships behind . I've turn and tried following only to have the entire team killing the biggest slowest first. Or the whole team sail to a corner and wait for the enemy to come to them. I like t bulls video and wasn't knocking him at all. I know these are his pet peeves also. I'm just saying I personally would like to here more team strategy, BB, cruiser, and DD roles and how to use them to the teams benefit. Win more! Thank you for your response. Taken well and agree.

@@deadeyetopher8621 it's all good, and to be honest sitting long range nose in towards the enemy works for the Iowa. Why I rip on it is because I now see tier 3 BBs backing up to start a match when even if they sail full speed ahead they won't get detected for 30+ seconds. I even see some DDs reversing to start the match. Iowas need to stay within range to be effective, like any other ship, but I have seen the reverse themselves out of relevance many, many times.
