You’re right, I believe the original themes intend to make the boss more intimidating, while the remake’s intend to empower you and make boss fights heroic. I prefer old tbh, new ones sound amazing even still though.

​@@janterri3539 Well I prefer the old ones too, but respect is still due for the composers of the new stuff. Besides, I actually prefer the updated themes of Flamelurker and Storm King in comparison to their original counterparts. That's just me, though.

There's no such thing as "how you view the game's tone"... The game has an inherent tone, which was completely breached by the remake. Besides, no one says the remake was easy to produce. The issue is simply that it's a parasite feeding off the original's extraordinary creativity, however expensive to produce. No one forced Sony to commission a full remake to people who didn't like or care for the original. A remastered would have sufficed.

Bluepoint should update the game with the original OST and the new one as an option and show a message at the beginning of each track: "HERE MOFOS! Stop crying on the music, shut the hell out and leave me die alone!" Really, One could say that the Demon's Souls community is really toxic BUT then you remember that not much people played Demon's Souls in PS3 to begin with, surely not this much people so most of the ones who cry over the OST didn't even played the game... and haven't played the remake either.

Makes the most sense, DS1 went more orchestral with it's music due to a bigger budget. I guarantee if From were to make DeS in 2020 it would have a soundtrack more inline with the other SoulsBorne games and that's exactly what Bluepoint did. They took the original songs, made it more orchestra orientated and filled in some spots the originald were lacking.

In the original it seemed like a rare attack, but now he does it all the time. I don’t like how BluePoint didn’t give the option to delete characters tho, since there is the old knight helm after vanguard. So if I die to him I can’t delete my character, which is annoying ig
