Love those old MOPAR long/wide instrument gauges. My brother had an orange Roadrunner back in the early 70's (not sure what year it was). I know it wasn't a six pack but my god did it ever run. In my last year of high school in 1979 a fellow student had one of these (same color) but back then they were still quite common and not expensive. If I could only go back in time, but I'm sure these restored cars have a much better build-quality to them than anything you got off the showroom floor back in the day. This is true beauty!

If I could win a lottery, I would be contacting you guys and starting my mopar collection. This Road Runner is "theee perfect" Runner for me. Cheers
@roberthill85648 жыл бұрын
While mine was not a Sixpack, I had a Double pump Holley on it even tho she was nice n nasty with the factory Carter too. A Weber Street/Strip Clutch worked great with the Factory 4 gear with Mr Gasket shifter an linkage. A 4:10 8 3/4 rear diff helped her pull nice. Holley electric Fuel Pump maintained good fuel pressure mounted just above gas tank. While this Beast would easily smoke mine, I still had a whack of fun with it and she also won her fair share of street and Track drags. Loved that Runner.

I owned 3 of them over time, one was a GTX. all 69' / supprised- I'm still alive !!

If I remember correctly, the Road Runner had a stock 383 big block 4 bbl and the GTX had the 440 big block 4 bbl. This upgraded 440 stroker addition to the Road Runner makes it even more the badassery of the car along with the six pack. Great work all around the vehicle. I would've rather had a different color though.
@raynus11602 жыл бұрын
The '69 RR was available with the 383, 440, or 426 Hemi. The 335HP 383 4-barrel/4-speed was the base model.

I don't remember anything other than the 383, four speed on floor, heavy duty clutch, no automatic steering, and the greatest driving experience of my twenties.

You have so many cool cars. I'm a disabled veteran in a wheelchair trying to find a car with massively huge tires in rear with massive power plant!, great room.

IT`s good to know the guy selling the car knows what he`s talking about and has driven vehicles capable of breaking the tires loose just from acceleration.That`s the way a good running muscle car reacts,Good video...makes me want my 68 all over again.

We had a '70 Runner 383HP with an Air Grabber my husband built up with the Factory Direct Connection catalog parts. The engine was eventually around 450HP. He installed a 4,500 rpm high speed torque converter and a manual value body in the A727B trans with a Dana 4.10 in the back. It had a sound like no other when it idled and when you got on it all hell broke loose! We should have never sold that car!!! It was a lot of fun. He used to say... "MOPAR or no car!"

In 1973 I was living In Juarez, there was a guy from El Paso he would show up every other week. His car was brown 1969 road runner and the hero of the hood would take 6 0r7 of us to the baseball game sometimes we were more. I mean it was jam pack. He was happy we were happier! To make things better...there was another guy who would show up you at the same time. He had no car but those two were buddies. But there was no ride for us then. But there was lunch white bread with bologna and a big coca cola. Yes there are some living hero's out there. Like they say paying it forward. Amen

I owned a beautiful red ‘69 Dodge Coronet 500 convertible (white top) with red interior. The original owner had ordered it built with the 383 MAGNUM installed making my 500 model more rare than the ‘69 Coronet R/T’s as almost all 500’s had the 318 or the 383 non-Magnum 2-barrel engines. Most folks went for the R/T model when they wanted hi-po but for some reason the original owner of mine wanted hi-po in a 500. Anyway, I owned it about 6 years from about 2000 to 2006 when I had to sell it due to some tough financial times for me then. How I do miss it.
