Nice truck im only 34 years old but i like old stuff i have a 55 chevy pick up short bed with a big window side steps and a 36 olds im trying to get rid of them cuz i want to buy something different old but different. I guess the only comparable option would have been a Coyote crate motor. I think they are 7000. bucks. Why do that when you can get a used LS3 and rebuild it for 4k less? It is also less complicated and it makes more power. If you wanted to turbo the car, there is no better motor to do that with than the LS. It is really the only option, unless money isn't.

So many complain about the LS swap.. lol.. Facts are, Ford doesn't have engines or trans' that has the power, reliability, and availability of Chevy's LS engines.. Ford screwed up when they started importing most of their stuff, and using motors like the Triton, and so many different imported transmissions.. I have a couple of F-150's, and they're nothing but a headache when they break down.. Try changing the spark plugs in the damn things, and end up having to pull the engine to re-tap the threads.. And I need a transmission for one of them, and i can't find one anywhere in the states, and the only one i have found is in Canada..And well, that's why so many people starter doing GM swaps.. And to me it's a no brainer.. It upsets me more to see those Mitsubishi looking rims and tires on it, lol..

You are completely CLUELESS about what you are talking about!! Sure 100% of all new modern engines today are garbage, but, not between the 50's & 70's!! The original factory engines back then were the BEST engines in history!! The only thing that needs to be done with those original engines, is to replace the original plastic timing chain with the best quality solid steel Cloyes True Roller timing chain, switch to a modern Holley Fuel Injection system, switch to the best quality MSD starter, ignition coil, distributor and wires, and the following: Amsoil makes a proprietary double oil filtration relocation kit, in which the first filter filters all the oil at 20 microns, and then immediately re-filters that purified oil at an unprecedented 2 microns!! This system allows your entire engine to operate with literally zero friction properties!!
