In ‘87 I was lucky enough to own a ‘84 non SS 305cid model. When I learned the SS had ‘fake’ dual exhaust I was mortified.

I had a 87 that I TOTALLY dod over for my wife and changed the pinstripes and letters to light purple and did the paint in a black pearl

To bad the Grand National wasn't carried over into 88 like the Monte. Interestingly enough though, the 87 GNs were in production longer than the 88 Monte. Last GN rolled of the line on December 11th 1987. Not sure when the last 88 Monte rolled off, but at the Ponitac plant where both were built the GN was the last car to roll off the line before the doors shut forever at the plant.

I have a 81 Monte Im workin on. My brother had it for years. Has a 7.5 inch rear end and a 350 turbo, not a 200r4. Im putting in a strong 400 sbc and need a better rear end if anyone knows where to look. Im not a rich man and am hoping to find something better priced than the new setups.

probably high most of the vehicles they sell are high dollar, they probably wanted between $40,000 and up for this car , low miles mint condition. Theyre not gonna sell it for $30,000 its gonna be high the price they want for it.
