The saddest part of this video was there was no mention of Bloodthirsters in the key units. I love Khorne, so it’s sad to hear the other gods units are “better”. C’mon Khorne get it together. 😅

i find using a demon prince of nurgle with no wings and the enhancement is a really nice unit, way too expensive but giving stealth in 6" and being able to pop a 3+ invuln with the 4+ feel no pain can bait out some nasty stuff and survive. hopefully princes get a points decrease, also completely agree with be'lakor being integral

Love the daemons. Been getting the hang of the monster mash with a knight. Took a few losses but squeeked a win tonight. I think I might have to drop the knight for some smaller units to cause problems further up the table turns 2 and 3.

I would definitely recommend taking some smaller units for objective play and give you more flexibility with the force, Plus the Knight doesn't really benefit the army as it looses the core function of chaos knights but that does sound hilarious ;) (Jord)

Think you missed a little thing about Kairos. He doesn't just have a Vect, he has a unique vect, it makes it cost more EVERY time they use it. It's the only version of that vect that exists.

Thought the same, but 2 judges i asked say it costs 1cp once more for the battle. "Cause its not mean like that"

@@bilobeutlin7400 I honestly think that judge was wrong or GW needs to clarify it because it is written specifically different than other vects. It says "EACH time your opponent uses that strat, increase its cost to your opponent by 1cp". Where as other ones say "until the end of the battle increase that strats cost to your opponent by 1". So either the Judge is wrong or GW misworded it and needs to correct it.

My personal favourite (after playing a few games): Fluxmaster leading Pink Horrors - was really fun watching a unit of space marine terminators (with assault cannon), trying to kill them on an objective .... They survived 3 turns :) (My opponent was using the ability to fall back, shoot and charge his termies).

I like the fluxmaster 2. But this bases size is a litten tricky AT deepstrike with 10 horrors ^^

I usually don't comment, I just love the content. I run a daemon army myself which is why I'm just verifying. Core rule book states on pg. 43 on strategic reserves. "Strategic Reserves units can arrive in the Reinforcements step of your Movement phase, from the second battle round onwards." I understand that the strat-(THE REALM OF CHAOS) says you can bring reservers in your next reserve phase as reinforcements. If the rule clearly states that you can't bring reinforcements down turn one. I think it means your not able to bring them down turn one. I'm just trying to see how you guys would explain this to someone, say in a competitive setting, who isn't going to be nice about it. I'm already getting anxiety just trying to explain it to myself, how I'm allowed to do something that the rules state you can't. Are other armies allowed to bring reserves in turn 1. Asking to see if there is any precedent set as of now. Also if (Realm of chaos) said you can bring reserves in on turn one I would be ok with it. I have learned that when it comes to rules I always look at them as what they were intended to do versus what I would like them to do.. also if it seems to good to be true it usually is. Thank you again for your content. I have been waiting for the Demon guide and was happy to watch it. Thanks for your time take care all.

Hey dude, Jord here thank you for your kind words and I'm glad you like the content. In terms of the wording I do understand the confusion with the interaction here so basically bringing in reserves on turn 1 only works IF you go second as you won't be able to take the units off the board otherwise, but if you check the Leviathan rules pamphlet under declare battle formations it states that the rule not allowing units to arrive from reserves turn 1 does not apply to units that are placed into Strat reserve after the first battle round has started. So if your unit has started on the board turn 1 and then removed from the board it can arrive in turn 1 providing you went second otherwise there is no way to remove the unit in the first place :) I hope that helps I'm more than happy to clarify anything else if you need mate :)

I'm always worried about that, but I could just taste the salt from my future opponent when I pull these daemon shenanigans lol. Thanks for the tasty little combos as always. @@Sid67Maximus And yeah, other armies can also be allowed to bring rerserves in turn 1. Necrons have an Enhancement called "Veil of Darkness", which is basically the same as "Realm of Chaos": Once per battle, at the end of your opponent's turn, if the bearer's unit is not within Engagement Range of any enemy unit, the bearer can use this enhancement. If it does, remove that unit from the battlefield. Then, in the Reinforcement step of your next Movement Phase, set up that unit anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 9" horizontally away from all enemy models. Meaning that if you go second with a Necrons army and you have placed the unit on the board, you can teleport a squad of 20 necron warriors + overlord or any other unit with this Enhancement (like 10 Lychgaurds). So yeah, other armies can do this too.

Nurgle have great dmg againts marines but strugles with armour. Horticulus and 2 beasts ate whole table of them.

Yeah same! Daemons are gonna be my first 1000pt army and it’s made up of 4 smaller units led by minor characters… seems more fun to play than having to rely on a handful of enormous characters

The problem I've found with Monster Mash is these monsters are too easy to kill. I've played 4 games with Daemons against two opponents, Marines and Thousand Sons. TSons put out a load of mortal wounds so the Greater Daemons can't do anything about it. You can't hide, because they just win the Primary game. Then the Marines just Oath of Moment and kill 1-2 Greater Daemons per turn, even when you measure out Be'lakor's aura, the Marines just use a Doctrine, advance and shoot, giving them an insane threat range of 24 - 30 on average, so they can easily move into Be'lakor's aura. Daemons cant charge that far (even with advance and charge) and their shooting isnt further than 24. The Daemon lists doing well can't have come up against high quality players with Marines and Thousand Sons, because these armies just find it too easy. They have greater numbers, greater shooting, strong combat with Terminators and Primarchs. Daemons DO have excellent strategems, but the video mentiones using them without the consideration that you only get 1cp per turn, (or 2 if you discard a card), so you can't make an objective sticky, advance and charge, deep strike within 3 and remove two units in your opponents turn all at once. You often have to make a choice between one or the other. I love Daemons, and Greater Daemon monster mash, but as I said, against good players its too easy to counter. The Greater Daemons have very average shooting (at best) and in a similar way to Knights, can't be everywhere at once. Knights can soften the enemy up with very strong shooting, but Daemons can't. Even Fateweaver can take out at most, half a Marine squad.

Guys pretty new to playing and getting into warhammer just a quick question how do I play chaos demons in 10th edition when the codex and data sheets aren’t out for 10th edition Do you use the data sheet cards and codex from 9th edition I hope someone can help me please

There should be basic rules and stats for all factions on the GW website. Worse comes to worst, I often just use Battlescribe :)

You cant use the deepstrike turn 1 according to wtc , And the Leviathan pack says clearly you cant use deepstrike abilitys turn 1

Hi Peter, so you can bring a unit down using deep strike if they were on the board at the start of the first battle round and then got placed into Strat reserve. As Jake mentions it will only work if you got second turn and then use the Realm of Chaos stratagem to take a unit off the board. It is very situational but it can come in clutch.

@@VanguardTactics no, the wording there is pointing towards units beeing able to stay in reserves past turn 3. Not that you can deepstrike turn 1. Alot of Tournaments wont allow it. I think the wtc is one of them :) my local to wont allow it most people that read it come to the same conclusion as i did.

@@VanguardTactics That is not how that works at all. You can reposition a model but if you were removed from the board and placed into reserves you cannot under any circumstance arrive through deep strike on the first battle round.

Page 43 of the Core rules: "Strategic Reserves units can arrive later in the battle during the Reinforcements step of any of your Movement phases except during the first battle round." "Strategic Reserves are forces that one or both players have chosen not to deploy at the start of the battle." So these units are not Stategic Reserves and nothing prevents them from using Deep Strike on turn one.
