@IPSECMERLIN Merlin definitely after when you start doing dungeons only, you should do dungeons like brd arena/anger for the chest and trinket from early 50s and get the rest of the stuff later on, and stop questing entirely.

I know fury is the top dog (dual wield to be specific), but is arms still a viable choice? Do people on private servers allow an arms warrior to raid, or is the dot limit too problematic for most people now? I remember back in vanilla, I ran arms and could top DPS in ZG and MC (not on every fight, but any fight where I could just continue beating on something the entire time), and was still competitive in BWL (at this point, fury was on top and rogues and I were neck and neck a lot of the time). Do you ever see competent pve arms warriors doing well?

Arms was very good before the patch 1.12's talents came into play. Way back in Vanilla wow, mortal strike worked differently than today, same with blood thirst. Back then the highest dps was MS, after BWL fury was better but before then MS was king. P servers laugh at Mortal Strike damage. It sucks compared to Fury when fully world buffed. No increased attack speed. MS may be good for specific bosses after BWL. I think a few naxx bosses heal, so a MS warrior is good for those fights, otherwise fury is still better.

Re: Chest Slot. Savage Gladiator Chain is also very fucking good for your pre raid set, dropping from Ring of Law in BRD. Though with the caveat that it only has the good stats after AQ 40/Dungeon 2 set quests when they did the dungeon loot revamps.

Rogue/Hunter/DPS Warrior all share the same loot. It's the same thing for literally every other class too. Healers/Tanks/DPS.

Bro, you lost me, You're saying that Hit rate is a very good stat to have, but at the same time you are a human warrior and you're offhand is a dagger... offhand already has like 50% hit, and your not using a mace or sword which you have +3% hit from your racial, plus you get a reduction on glancing blows, you would dps more if your offhand was sword or mace..... Also you said gun for troll, its bow, gun is dwarf.

1% attack speed on helm... ERR. this is not the enchant u would use for ur head slot item, its practically worthless. the reason behind this is that there are VERY few fights in this game ( especially early stage of the game) that lasts long enough for the enchant to be viable. In order for your enchant to be worth anything, the encounter your doing needs to last long enough for you to be granted an extra swing out of a 100 swings. and this wont happen. In Theory 1% attack speed is a better option in terms of gear scaling, but in reality you wont have any dps increase at all as it wont grant you an extra attack on whatever mob you're fighting.

I said not to use the 1% attack speed enchant in the vid. I was just using it on the helm for some tests. But yes, you are correct, it does suck.

Actually the flat haste % is better at higher gear lvls when you have more str/crit, as at a certain point 7 str will still be 7 strength, where as one or 2 more hits per fight will be a lot of dmg, especially if crits.

If you're running dual wield the extra hit doesn't hurt, but I believe it falls off around 12-14% on endgame

The following words are not pronounced the same way: steps, steppes. Martyr is pronounced mar ter, not mar tire. Satire is not the same as satyr. Martyr and satyr both have the ter sound, like master or farther.

and that is different between every item but usually if the raid item has better stats (which they usually do) they're better, there's ofc exceptions to this like devilsaur set but even devilsaur isn't worth picking up for its price (atleast on lightshope but usually you should use the limited gold you have on more important things)

Some of the items you cannot get right off the start that's the problem with these guides. We need BIS first logging in that you can get from vendors THEN we'll worry about drops mate.

Congrats on building a glass cannon. And by the time you farmed all these BIS items, the raid you would have joined a year ago would have cleared BWL by now. It's a nearly unattainable setup.

Like I said in the video, there are tons of other pieces of gear you could replace the ones I showed with. The hardest pieces of gear to obtain are the weapons, besides those, all other gear is easily obtainable. I have gear several warriors on different private servers to pre raid bis, excluding 2 or 3 pieces. Its not as hard as you think.

Are you aware that private server's use almost the exact same core as Vanilla did back in 2004? It's basically the same thing, with very very minor changes. Drop rates and gear are literally the exact same thing as it was in vanilla.

preraid bis for horde is 2h and not dw. that means you need less hit and take more crit / ap. that changes the other gear choices

Wtfheal 2h is not better at all, the only consideration to make on horde is where pre bis weapons fall due to the axe racial for orcs, some axes will be higher than say a similar sword.
