At the time of their disappearance there was a serial killer on the loose in that neighborhood. His name was Joseph Patrick Washington. He was sentenced to 17 consecutive life sentences for murders of women in that area.

I'm so sick and tired of all these precious children going missing 😢 Trafficked is my first thought and it should NEVER happen our children are our greatest gift. To many have got lost in the cracks we all need to care about every single one of those kids that have gone missing. Thanks Jeremy for bring us these cases hopefully with awareness more of these lost kids can be brought home ❤

I hope you continue doing this. It may help bring lost souls back to their loved ones. Much love and Godspeed

The key here is the white van. Start close to where the girls lived and work outwards. Who owned a white van? Look into child predators that lived in that same vicinity. Did they own a white van?

That white van is ringing some serious bells here….we’re there any other children reported missing in that area during that time? Being from central illinois I’m asking since I don’t know the layout of Augusta. One article I just read about a suspect, stated that he worked in a local brick yard, not too far from the girls’ home. The suspect is now deceased, but he was a brutal little man. (Joseph Patrick Washington died 1999). Is that brick yard still active after all those years? Has it ever been searched?

Great presentation, Jeremy. You have the perfect personality for presentations like this. Also, even though other channels have dealt with this case, you're bringing fresh eyes to it and all it takes is 1 person who might recall something that could help. I've never heard of this case until now, but thanks to you I have. And it's good that you are involving your listeners in enlisting help. Good job, Jeremy. EDIT: I did a YT search on the missing twins and found this vid on the Oxygen channel: Missing Twin Sisters Case Still Unsolved | The Disappearance of the Millbrook Extras | Oxygen Do a YT search on that to find the vid.

Just FYI, in 1990's it was the norm to wait 24 hours before making a formal inquiry as to missing persons. Also, likewise assuming that kids were runaways. This is NOT excusing the brush off the officers gave the family and not caring that something critical was happening to the twins. Those officers were jerks! The fears were obviously justified. My heart aches for these girls and the families left behind. I pray that answers can be found no matter how long it has been. No matter what "side of the tracks", answers need to be found. ❤❤❤❤

Thank you Jeremy, for all you do. Adding the info about Missing Persons is important, especially on a KZbin channel. Looked on the Namus website for info on the girls, but only found Dannette listed, so I put in an info request for Jeanette. Seems odd they would only have listing for one of the girls. If someone began the case again, they should have given info on both.

Thank you for searching for these girls and drawing attention to their case and inspiring more to look into the case. If you decide to continue doing cold case stories (you do it well), you might want to discuss the historic Villisca Ax murders that happened in Villisca, Iowa. It is still unsolved and has many interesting theories of who killed everyone (from the town pastor to a local politician). I have visited the house and grounds and spent a night inside it so I could give you actual thoughts after seeing everything in person, seeing how the house was laid out, how close the neighbor's home is, etc. Glad to help you in your mission if at all possible!

Thank you Jeremy for bringing this case and info to us and to help the family. Keep searching, and doing this, you and Adam are brilliant 👏 Can I ask what ever happened to that case you were on early this year, the guy who vanished by water and fishing. With his truck left in the car park? You did a few searches in woods and never released another search... was he found.

If snatched, its either a person/persons who knew them, or a spontaneous action. In that case, we can disregard the white van altogether regardless of whether it is a local or someone passing through. I would guess a family member or a neighbour, and the white van was only in their heads. Or an accident. Sometimes people feel the need to get rid of things after accidents. Don't do that.
@rolrcstr655 ай бұрын
I wish I knew something. I was driving a truck back at that time and stopped at the truck stop in Augusta several times. Since I was just passing through and did not live there, I really don't know anything that would help. I sure hope someone can help find answers for the family.
