I had a bad experience once I went to buy sunscreen as a black woman in a store I asked for some help and a white lady turned to me and said " why do you need sunscreen? And then said do black people even burn?" Followed by "I'm sure you will be fine you don't even need it" this was back in 2006 I was a teen It made me feel stupid like I asked a wrong question I never went to boots again, now I'm older I no better as my skin burns easily 🤷🏾♀️ but im glad you do this for women of colour

Hi Doctor V, so happy I’ve found your channel, have learnt so much more about malasma pigmentation. Since listen to your channel I have started using the new products like Cerave,Paula choices and the ordinary , change to mineral sunscreen . But ever since changing I’m not sure it’s breaking out or purging a lot on my face , please advise me on what to do

Loveee this channel and how authentic, honest, and easy you are with explaining products and helping us figure out this massive industry that is skin care! Would you be willing to do a video on First Aid Beauty products AND Biossance?? I think it's a pretty great line, meant for sensitive skin, and I think they generally check off most of the items on the Dr. V safe for coloured skin checklist!

Youth To The People just dropped a banger of a product: AHA (Mandelic 3%) + BHA (salicylic 2%) + PHA. Fragrance free like you asked as well. Review please.

Thank you so much for your videos Dr Rattan. I've been able to do so much research and learn so much from you. Especially on which products to buy and which to avoid, especially after being so close to purchasing some that may have taken me way backwards on my skincare journey. So thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, you're helping so many people. ❤️❤️

I use 7% glycolic acid by the ordinary. I use Korres wild Rose cleansing oil and the ordinary cleanser Korres wild cleanser. Nice cinemas hydroponic acid and I don't know what you're going to say about this but I do use a royal jelly propolis honey and bee venom moisturizer and then rose oil. I use glycolic acid toner maybe twice a week and when I don't use that I have a lactic acid toner and I use witch hazel

I heard that it’s quite bad for you. Like it can lead to skin cancer and it can cause rebound pigmentation. Instead I’ve been using alpha arbutin, so far it’s good and I can see dark marks fading a bit but it does take 6 months to work fully.
