love this! I used to work for Jack Skirball and I loved his stories about Musso's back in the day. I go there whenever I'm in LA

I'd think it'd be insufferable to hang out at this wonderful old place with actors but maybe less so with writers, directors and producers, who, unlike actors, are usually educated, thoughtful and reflective people, who likely have interesting things to say and talk about. Who I'd really like to hang out with at Musso and Frank, however, are simply anonymous old-time Angelenos, who've maybe seen a thing or two in their day and probably have more than a few good stories to tell and memories to share. If I couldn't hang out with those people, I'd much rather just sit in a booth by myself and focus on and enjoy the outstanding food and wine.

Many actors and actresses nowadays are educated and and very intelligent, capable of holding down interesting conversation, conscientious about the world and social issues etc.
