Thanks Patrick… I always say it’s my spiritual home. I’m going to miss all these trees when we head into the outback!

Thank you for showcasing the beautiful far north of Queensland so entertaingly (good word eh?). I do enjoy you two, you bounce off each other so we’ll. I haven’t been to the northern beaches for years….. shocking how we neglect our back yard 😞 🦋🐠🐸☔️

It's a great word. Thanks, we have a lot of fun together, and you should definitely head up to the beaches. So beautiful up here!

Jeez -That thumb nail definitely caught my eye. Nothing better than staying in your van right on the water surrounded by white sand and palm trees. I forgot how nice Palm Cove is. I think I’ll have to try and take our little MH there one day. Nice to see Cairns but I think I prefer Palm Cove & Port Douglas. Great tip with the Oysters too Nigel. Safe travels to you both & see you out on the road one day. 😃👍

Thanks!! It is definitely a beautiful campsite, although it’s really crowded now. We barely ever go into Cairns, and spend all our time out at the beaches

Lovely episode. Some beautiful beaches. I took some notes to keep for future reference in case we can get away for a bit of a holiday sometime. 😄

Oh I hope you can make it up here Lynne. Definitely come in the winter though!
@LynneCarey2 жыл бұрын
@@nigelandsueadventures Yes, for sure ... it gets very hot and wet in the summer. My parents used to have a touring show, and they would always make sure they were up there in the winter. So on school holidays I would go up there (in winter) 😊 , but we were not really 'holidaying' or 'sight seeing'. I would definitely like to go up again. My husband hasn't ever been there.

Absolutely beautiful beaches. As Victorians, why are the nets brought in?
@nigelandsueadventures2 жыл бұрын
They go out during the summer months when the deadly box jellyfish are prevalent in these waters. During the winter, when the trade winds blow from the south, the currents take the jellies away. Winter is the best time to be up here.

@@nigelandsueadventures Oh but what about the crocs? Are they still lurking and waiting for a meal? 😕
@nigelandsueadventures2 жыл бұрын
@@wesoz1950 they are much more interested in fish. They do patrol for them though and close the beaches if there’s a sighting

Great video Nigel and Sue, as always! Hey, I was just wondering, what drone do you use and is it easy to master?
@nigelandsueadventures2 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrew, thank you, we are glad you enjoyed it. We have a DJI Mavic Mini, its great, and relatively easy to master. Its a lot of fun, and we really think its taking our film-making to a whole other level
@andrewroffey2 жыл бұрын
@@nigelandsueadventures Yes, the drone records pictures beautifully and smoothly. It’s certainly a boon to your videos. Mmm, maybe I should buy one. Is it the original mini or mark 2 or 3? Thanks.

Is that a free camp spot at Ellis beach
@nigelandsueadventures2 жыл бұрын
We wish!! There are a couple of stealth spots up here, but we have friends with a large property who let us park there. 🧡🙏🧡
