Have been going through a really rough period of my life.. with crippling depression and anxiety. One of the things that brings me comfort is your videos. Your way of living is inspirational and I have been silently living vicariously through you for months now. Your videos have provided me with some measure of calm and for that I am immensely grateful Ryan! A grateful subscriber from Singapore!

Your videos provide me alot of comfort, I did van life 2 years ago, best times of my life. I live in alaska now, raising my baby on a homestead with my husband. Times are diffrent now, but it's so comforting to have a slice of that life again

Hey there, Chef Ryan! Watching you cook up that Cajun seafood boil was almost as satisfying as trying to find gold in Southern California - almost! The way those clams popped open was like a tiny celebration in each pot. By the way, loved the apron - if you ever drop those limited edition WIP here aprons, count me in for one! Keep cooking up those adventures, looking forward to the next one!

Hey Ryan! Culinarian here The cut you're looking for is called, "On a bias". Which is the way of having slices have just a liiiittle bit more surface area. Works amazing when you're cooking on high heat with oil and more of the product is seared well. It also just looks fancy.

Cutting the sausages on the bias increases the surface area that contacts the pan, which makes for more browning and that beautiful Maillard reaction. It also looks classy AF.

I even bought a ps4pro last few days because of your chill content. I have been a PC gamer since I was only 3 and so far it has been nice playing COD. Also got back into cooking my own meals instead of ordering unhealthy fastfood. keep up the uploads! I'm always waiting for the next one lol.

2:40.. I think about investing in a water heater as much as a refrigerator. How much power does yours consume and how long does it take to heat up? - It's a big ticket item, but I feel like on some days it would make all the difference in being actually comfortable or not.

Being from very deep south louisiana (like any further you're in the gulf) I got very intrigued when I saw the title to this video, although im gonna have to say that this is one of those recipe's that was written in alabama and they wrote cajun on it to gain attention. But I still enjoyed the video just like always. Hopefully one day you can try some authentic cajun food.

to be fair I can almost cry from here over that black pepper onion lemon lol it sounds damn good. I've seen others talk about pre-mixing spices. You don't really seem to have an issue with clumping spices, but I like to pre-mix all my spices into a tiny glad container and pour it in at once, it helps with time/prep and it helps with clumping spice containers.

So sorry you missed the northern lights. Can only have sympathy and wish I weren't rubbing it in that I drove a few miles out of my town and was mind blown at what I could see even with the naked eye. So many pictures that in real life just looked like low hanging clouds. If you got way out of town (kind of like you were) it was truly incredible. At least it was here in WY!

I think a cook book would be a great idea! Although you use a lot of other peoples recipes, you often change a few ingredients just based off of accessibility and it still turns out great! It would also be as nice platform to highlight the people you got your recipes from like "inspired by, or recipe taken by ..." Putting your own spin on it yet giving the original credit where its due! Also maybe after the recipe, make a page summary on the trip or drive you made when you made the specific dish and of course add your own rating! Maybe even throw in a "Wipe Here" Apron in to the first 100-200 people that buy the book. Just some food for thought ;)

Just a word no I’ll will but I am from south Louisiana and pride myself on seafood boils but just to let you know once your water comes to a rolling boil shrimp doesn’t take more than 3 minutes to cook reason being when you buy them in a container the heat continues to cook them and they can become mushy just food for thought. As always safe travels and looking forward to the next one
