Make sure to hug your family. I noticed that you had posted that your mother had retired and you were able to be there and that makes my heart so happy for you.

Yes I was so happy to be able to be home for the holidays, and for my mom's retirement party!! She taught for 36 years!

I use noise cancelling headphones/earbuds when I travel. Work great on planes, trains, and stormy nights in my van.

I use them also but when sleeping it is hard on my ears...lol

That stinks how rude some people can be. Hope the drive gets you more modified. Love your videos..

I agree, but one of the things that you come to realize really quickly is when you stay in public spaces sometimes not everyone has the same level of understanding or respect for others

Just FYI future reference, Clines Corners is 7000+ elevation vs. 4000+ elevation in Tucumcari. It tends to be a bit cooler. I know that they have RV parking, but I don’t know if/what they charge. Might be worth checking into if you’re traveling in a heatwave again. There are 24 hour clean restrooms, and it’s always very quiet there.
@BunnyPlaysHere4 күн бұрын
I have been through there several times.... never stayed... e
@deniseyoung53854 күн бұрын
@@BunnyPlaysHereI just thought about it because I usually stop there when I’m traveling out to Utah every January and it’s always so very cold there. I tend to be a drive straight through the night and it’s always open, but I do like the Flying J in Tucumcari as well. 40 is a pretty good route, lots of places to stop and a lot of Route 66 places nearby, too.

We will get it figured out one way or another... just a frustrating part of being on the road... rarely is it you as a driver that is the issue.. it is more so others who are driving you have to worry about

Living in the deep south I fully understand. The humidity makes all the difference and can drain your energy quickly as well as make you dehydrated. I camp in my 4runner and know exactly what your are talking about. I have also experienced the west dry heat at 120 which makes it hard to breathe. Had a Nursing contract in Bullhead city, AZ and could not even open my truck door, sit on the seat, or touch the steering wheel, it was so hot. Have a wonderful and blessed day!
@beautifuldreamer39914 күн бұрын
Oh yes, Bullhead City is very,very Hot. Heat sickness happens real fast there, and if your car seat is vinyl, you must put a towel or sheet down, otherwise you'll be Peeling your butt off the seat, hot pads or oven mitts for the steering wheel 😢

There is definitely so much more there that I would love to explore one day but I’m trying to save that for whenever I do Route 66 however I may end up tackling a museum before then lol

Since I live in Maine I find your references to the heat out there fascinating. WOW! I have 2 large dogs with me when I travel so I’m very careful to stay away from that kind of heat. Traveling in late fall or early summer works well. Have a great time at home and I’ll be sure to keep up on your tiny home channel. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I am very much, so looking forward to hitting the road again and already have a couple trips planned and a couple of exciting things that I am ready to do. I am going to go visit an old friend. I’m going to go with my dad to some Christmas things, and before you know what my mom will be hitting the road as she retires.

I hear you have a warranty, Bunny I bought the 1k power train warranty and it did me wrong! It would not cover hoses and a couple other 2k repairs I needed! So unfortunate I lost faith in buying warranties without going over every single possible thing it covers. Love you, enjoying your travels ❤
@BunnyPlaysHere4 күн бұрын
I combed through my warranty and also spoke to people at the service center to better understand what i could and could not do.. it was helpful!

Bunny, you should be a history teacher instead of a KZbinr because you know a lot about history, plus you have been visiting museums and looked at a lot of stuff from the past! People have learned a lot from you by watching your videos! Good job on that!

I cannot imagine that would be near as fulfilling is doing what she does because she in a way is a teacher by teaching all of us mostly adults probably. And she gets to do it on her own in her own way versus having to stick to a state mandated curriculum which a lot of teachers are complaining about stifles them being able to actually do their job
@BunnyPlaysHere4 күн бұрын
I appreciate that! I love learning about history and sharing that with others.

I re-use those hillshire farms lunch meat containers. Once you take the label off of them you can reuse them over and over again for food or to hold other stuff.
@BunnyPlaysHere3 күн бұрын
Reusing things is definitely a positive! There are some things that I’m able to reuse while I travel and other things that don’t work out as well. These meat containers, however, are always awesome.

Insulation is not what it's cracked up to be. If you have an insulated van it takes longer to cool it down once it gets hot. Also insulation can trap moisture. My van isn't insulated either.
@zacharyhunter64084 күн бұрын
I completely understand the warranty issue. When the warranty expires, you could think about an exhaust fan on the side or a back door. The Runaway campers are starting to put a Max air vent mounted vertically. I’m sure you have already thought about all your options after 100k.
@BunnyPlaysHere4 күн бұрын
I don’t think I will be punching a hole in the door for a fan. Am looking at a possible different option
@gloriamoore7664 күн бұрын
I think the insulation would help a lot more than you might think. Possibly put magnets on reflectics to use & when you take it down there is no sign that it was there.☺

I will not be adding any kind of cover until my warranty is up. If I document that anything has covered the wiring at all on my channel, they have plausible deniability to fixing my van showed something mess up. This was made extremely clear to me by the dealership who is in charge of my service warranty. in today’s world, they are looking for reasons to not cover people or vehicles and anything you do on the Internet can impact your warranty. Should they see it. Because I have a very public facing channel I will not be violating any portion of my warranty, even if temporary and I encourage people to not do that if the primary reason they purchased their vehicle because of an extensive warranty.
