Just loving your videos. The drone has really improved your output. I think one of our tourism departments should be sponsoring you, for the great advertisement you are doing for Australia. It is such an amazing country. I’ve noticed you seem to have a fascination for rocks. Maybe a geologist in your last life. LOL. 🇦🇺❣️

😂 thanks. I love the drone footage....might be getting a bit carried away with it. I find the geology quite fascinating. Just amazing to consider how things were formed and how much force was required to shape it all.

Great footage and video Jason. The drone footage of the cliffs and the dolphins, all of it, is spot on. Yep, the morning coffee and watching your video inspires my day. By coincidence, my aunty used to live very close to the airport. Thanks for the great video and inspiration. Cheers, Sean.

Great video, Jason. Wonderful scenery and lots of drone video, too. You have clearly become quite the drone pilot as the shot close up, and following the headland was incredible. Cheers buddy... Happy trails.

Thanks Peter. I love that shot flying along the cliff face. Unfortunately it was pretty windy so some of the shots are a bit unstable, but overall it does well.

Just down from Laurieton is Diamond Head which has an enjoyable loop walk around the headland. Nice campsites though they are paid but cheap from memory. The road into Diamond Head is dirt/gravel and can get pretty pot holey if they haven’t graded it in a while but you shouldn’t have any trouble. Thanks for the video! You’re accumulating quite the gear. I am heading down to Sydney soon via the van so looking forward to some beautiful sunrises and sunsets myself.

Thanks Tony. Not sure I'll go to Diamond head this time around....just cleaned the van 😂😂 Need to be back in Sydney in a week so started to get time limited.

Another great video I much prefer the music on this one, the last one had me feeling something akin to motion sickness. 🤮 Maybe a touch of synethsecia? There is such a lot of beautiful scenery there which you capture well. 👍 Loving the drone footage. Glad you remembered the dome in time, maybe leave it in 'follow' mode. 😀

I thought Saturday morning coffee with a Jason video was good - Wednesday morning train commute to work with Jason video is better! You managed to find all the great spots in Port! I was hoping you’d make it to Sea Acres, I knew you’d love it. The lighthouse road has been closed since about August but how awesome were those dolphins! Lake Cathie is just lovely. The boat ramp you were at used to have paddle boats (back in the 80s) so much of my school holidays was spent in that Lake either swimming or tootling around on paddle boats. Great video Jason, thank you and safe travels back to Sydney!
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 күн бұрын
Thanks!😁 It's a very interesting section of coastline there and I love that the rainforest is right in amongst it. It's a very different pace once you come down to Lake Cathie! Much more peaceful and relaxed.

I love watching your videos. I particularly like the sounds especially when you ride your bike and when you walk the tracks. I’ve not noticed how many solar panels you have on your roof before now. How many watts do you have and what is the size of your battery/ batteries? You never seem to run low on power.
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 күн бұрын
Thanks Jazzy 😁 There's 5x120W panels. Got a 300Ah voltX lithium battery. Yeah, got plenty of juice. Only once ran low after about 5 days of rain 😂

Beautiful footage. The coastline there is so gorgeous. Apparently you can stay overnight at the little rest area at John’s River inland from Harrington if you’re looking for somewhere around there on your way back down. I’ve stayed at a Hipcamp property there before on my way through but never went in to Harrington so it’s on my to-do list. Hoping to live vicariously through you if you go there & film it lol. I keep forgetting to tell you to go to a chemist or health food shop & get some Comfrey ointment. It’s a bone healer that’s so good they used to refer to Comfrey as Knit-bone back in the day. It will help your broken arm heal faster. Chemist warehouse stocks it if you see one in your travels. Glad you didn’t leave your go pro behind lol
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 күн бұрын
Thanks Sally. Johns River is only 20 min from Laurieton, so a bit close for me to use it as an overnight. I think there's quieter places in Laurieton, away from the freeway. Look up the Laurieton skatepark 😉 I'll see if I can get some of that ointment. Anything that helps would be good 😊👍

@ Thanks, I’ll check that skate park out. Hope you manage to find the ointment

Another really good Video Mate, your Music Choices & Editing are getting very professional! Would you mind telling us what type of drone that is? I'd like to have a closer look at it , may even buy one, it really is impressive!!
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 күн бұрын
Thanks Jason. The drone is a DJI Neo, fly more combo and I use the remote for the longer flights. It's great and cheap but the picture quality isn't the best. I really wanted the autonomous follow modes though,so it works well. If you are unlikely to use those features,then for a few hundred more, you can get a much better camera in different models.

@@MakingStuffGoingPlaces Thanks Jason I will check it out! Cheers!!

Heaps of DJI sales atm. Mini Pro's are good quality and are of the cheaper types. The Nano was designed for KZbinrs to follow along a walk but unfortunately the noise they make, makes it unusable to talk and follow at the same time if close.
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 күн бұрын
Agree with the noise of the Neo....it's loud! Even when you have it at a good distance where it's hard to see, you can hear it. And the noise cancelling for the walk and talk mode isn't too good. The finished audio quality isn't nice.

Aahh. Drone regulations. Like all things that become popular like the car to electric bikes and scooters, once more and more ppl use them, the regulations kick in and continually keep progressing. I'm happy to go with the regulations as we belong to a continually growing society that needs to regulate so rogue ppl dont do as they please at the detriment to all of us. Who regulates the sky. CASA is Australia's regulator to the skies from planes to drones. My question is if you take off in an unregulated area and then fly over a regulated area like National Parks or some Councils Areas with signs are you breaking the law?
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 күн бұрын
Hi Tony. From my interpretation.... CASA's rules don't say anything about national parks, that is a specific Parks rule, like their many other rules they have. It does clearly say you can't launch, land or control a drone from within a park. My general philosophy with everything is to minimise annoyance to others. If I'm flying the drone and see people that may be able to hear it, I turn away.
