We have rented from them once is the US. We have not had a problem but we have read comments from others that have had issues. We document everything and we purchase the extra insurance though thankfully we haven't needed to use it.

Same. I have a reservation and the reviews are so extreme on each end. We’re going for it. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Never, ever, ever go with these scammers. They sent us into the Arizona desert with a bacteria infested water system (showers smelled like rotten egg), a full black water tank (carrying other people’s shit), an empty propane tank, no bed linen despite late pick-up time, absolutely filthy conditions, especially the mattress, a door unable to be opened, a water hose that could not be connected, and as said before: zero help, zero accountability, zero service. Avoid, avoid, avoid. Indie Campers is a criminal organisation, putting their customers at severe risks, and deliberately frustrating their customer service, through unethical constructions via bot-chat and via India. Hey, thank you so much for the great video. I have a couple of questions, and I'd be grateful if you could help me. 1. Insurance. When booking on the website, there is the 'protection plan', i am 24 and so they only offer the basic. Is this technically the insurance. Or will I then have to get more insurance ontop of this upon arrival? 2. In the 'essentials travel kit' package. Firstly, do you think this is worth it? Secondly, is the bedding kit, just for 1 bed or 2 beds, with this van? Thank you😊.

Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. We have rented 2 more campervans from Indie now. We always get the Premium Protection Plan with provides extra insurance. Otherwise the Basic Protection Plan comes with a higher deposit and deductible of anything happens. We also get the Essentials kit. When we traveled with 4 people it comes with bedding for 2 beds. Our last trip was just the two of us and we only received bedding for one bed.

Great video, thanks. I'm about to go on holidays with this Van. Could you tell me how big is the storage room in the back? We're travelling only in 2 people and we're scared we're taking too many or big luggages with us. You would be a great help :)

We had 2 carry ons and 2 backpacks and there was still some room in the back. There is storage on the right, water and left, propane. So the middle is the storage area under the bed.

Hi this is wonderful video . I have a question please; I want to travel from Italy to morroco with camper me and my wife for one month and I don’t know how much indie will do for us . We want the cheaper one And what do you think about this company. Bcs I seee lot of no good comments

Not sure about taking the Campervan to Morocco. But we have also seen some of the not so good comments. We have never had an issue with Indie in Europe and have rented 3 Campervan from them from 3 different countries.

Unfortunately, no air-conditioning but there are two openings in the roof to let in fresh air and the windows crack open as well with screens. There’s no generator so no way to run an air-conditioning in the evening.

Sorry could i ask how did you get two beds, did you get two bedding kit or did you ask them for another bed

When making the reservation we added the extra bed and bedding kit.

Indie Campers is a total ripoff. I rented a van from them in May 2024 and bought the Premium Protection plan for $199. I had a small accident which dented the top of van. A local repairman gave an estimate of $300. Turns out the premium plan only covers about 30% of the van. The top and bottom areas aren't covered. They charged my credit card over $3,800 for damages. Then they lied about letting me have the local repairman do the work. Do not rent from Indie Campers.

Sorry you had an issue. Yes the told us the insurance doesn’t cover the top and bottom. Most RV rentals don’t as they don’t want you going off road or under low parking garages extra.

Do not rent from indie camper! This is a scam company! They have rented us a car with engine issue, which we had to return 10 days earlier then anticipated as we could not drive it anymore and it was diagnosed with an engine issue by a mechanic partnered with indiecamper. Out of 7 days that we had car, we wasted 4 spending in mechanic shops trying to fix it as they requested us to do. They did not gave us any replacement and we were left in Europe with no van, no hotel reservations. Almost two months later still trying to get my money back.

Rented in Bordeaux France and were supposed to return in Barcelona. But after struggling with the engine issue, we had to return it in Lisbon. Do not rent from them! The worst experience and ruined vacation

I guess you got lucky. If a car doesn’t have an issue that may be ok. And things happen, cars can get issues, but how they handle issues is awful. I can’t even get my money back, never mind the time we spent trying to resolve the issue - starting from going to about 8 different shop wasting our vacation time to the financial burden. We had to book hotels, airbnbs, train and bus tickets last minute which cost us a fortune.
