Is this the end of our vanlife travels? WIth a broken-down van in this episode, we contemplate what is ahead of us without a van. We were on a getaway to Murchison, Victoria, to a free camping spot, but our van broke down. So join us on this adventures as we work out what do now with our van.

Oh no, my thoughts go out to you both. My heart was broken when i saw that smike coming out if the van and yes I cried for you both. We love watching your adventures with young Twyla. Sorry about your van guys. Twyla is so clever going over the cattle grids. My two won’t go near them 🤣 I absolutely loved the shot of Twyla sitting on the front seat looking out the front window . It was so cute 🥹 Good on you guys for staying so positive even after all you had to go through. Love the new cooker too 😃 a great buy from Aldi 👍🏻

I would not be without the RACV top cover, it's essentially an insurance policy that kicks in when you breakdown. Breaking down so far from home has its own set of difficulties. That tow truck driver was an angel. So good he was happy to take Twyla in the cabin too.

You definitely couldn’t say that in a better way. We normally pretty positive people but we did feel very vulnerable considering we had our dog with us on a very hot day but the RACV were amazing and all credit to the mechanic and the tow truck driver for having amazing service and being so kind specially with having a dog with us. I’m so happy we got to capture this even though it was a horrible moment in one way. It was good to let people know that if you do have roadside assist you can get out of these sticky situations most times. Thanks again for your comment really appreciate it. That’s fantastic so glad that our mishap has helped you get over a fear. I have to admit I’m the same sometimes you feel so vulnerable but the RACV was amazing and both guys the mechanic and the tow truck driver was fantastic such great service and to let us have Twyla come inside. The truck was amazing and even the lady on the end of the phone he got them out quicker than normal because we had Twyla in the heat. How fantastic that.. so definitely the number one thing to take away from these experience is having RACV cover if you live in Victoria. They can stop paws and read. I think this is a good common ground for everybody. We’ve done a few episodes on your town but I think our audio wasn’t very good back when we didn’t eat and then other times I’ve been to your town. We’ve just been passing through stopping at the bakery. Hopefully will be back in the future to join a new episode there because we love that town and we really enjoyed ourselves when we were there. 2 years ago i broke down in nearly the same area . Heywoods are awesome people, glad you all got back safe and the truckie well done what a trip. I am lucky enough my son is a mechanic so turned out to be a simple fix but it's still stressful.

Hoping the van is fixed quickly and you are soon back to travelling in it. While I wish you hadn't had to go through this (nobody wants the expense of fixing a vehicle) it is realistic to highlight that vans do break down so it's important to have a plan should that happen. Thanks so much, we really appreciate your kind words and the encouragement. You’re right when it comes to van life as your living space cannot be detached from the vehicle itself. This is something you definitely need to think about. I’m glad we got it on Camera also to show people that things like this to happen and what to expect. The RACV was amazing the guy driving the tow truck and the mechanic was such nice blokes and really helped us out. We go through this town every time we come back from the east, never really stopped there, must stop in. Those pies look great and Henri would love them not me. I was just thinking the same thing RACV time. We have top cover, it’s worth it. Don’t worry Deano as sh*# happens at times. Yeah top RACV cover Deano. Yeah, it was a good thing we had our roadside assist because it was so nice to see them arrive so quickly, especially with the heat and the fact that we had Twyla. You definitely be silly not to have RACV if you’re travelling as much as we do in this episode definitely proves this point. Unfortunately, we won’t have a van back for a little bit because it’s gonna take awhile to fix but don’t worry we will be back with an episode next week as we’re heading off in our.Jimny tend to camping and will show you a new free camping spot we have found. Thanks, it was a real bummer but glad we had our roadside assist which saved us a lot of money. Hopefully the repairs won’t cost as much as what I think they’re going to cost. We broke down at Wilson’s prom and RACV towed our caravan on the back of the truck and put our colarado on the truck, gave us a hire car and we went home to Cranbourne. Would not be without RACV roadside assist

You can put your 'Charcoal Chimney' on your gas cooker to get it started and you won't need the fire starters or the smell 🙂

oh no. same thing happened to our sons van. we have / had a donar transit to fix his..otherwise its a 6 week wait from the UK. Honestly that van has been extremely un transit van like if you have had no trouble...ours was an expensive nightmare starting at the injectors ,ending up with a whole new fuel system..about 12k all up..but all worth it now...they are an old van but hey new vans seem to have just as many probems..good luck.

That’s what I’m worried about I think it’s gonna be very expensive but good to see that you ended up with a good outcome even if it did cost you and I’m a leg will find out this week. The three of us are well unfortunately no news on the van as yet it’s in the mechanics. They’ve just ordered the part and found it so now we’re just waiting for them to install that part and hopefully everything else will fall into place. Will keep you informed in our episodes. I have to laugh when you have to wait for a new part for your van. We bought a new 2024 MG suv 2 weeks ago. I drove it once and the dashboard broke and was black, took it to dealer and now have to wait for a new part from China. Have a loan car that I cannot drive as my name is not on the insurance. Should be about 3 weeks to get the part.

That is terrible news. You poor thing to think you spent all that money and you can’t even drive your car. Hope it gets fixed soon so you can enjoy your new car. Obviously we film things in advance and it has already been two weeks. What a bummer … Hate to be anal but could you include the name of the river you are on rather than just saying things like “the water”. In this case you were on the Goulburn river whose name is on either end of the landmark ( bridge ) you drove over …. Thus sort of thing has been bugging me about your videos for ages now, but I still come back ….
