Great journey Jason. You're really living the life many dream of and inspire those of us who aspire to do the same. BTW, that mountain bike POV footage get the adrenalin moving. Many thanks, Sean.

Fascinating locations, thanks Jason. We see you mountain bike riding yet we know nothing about your mountain bike. Anything interesting you can tell us non-mtb riders about it? Riding around historic townships is such a brilliant idea - at least I thought so.

Thanks mate 😊 Quite a fascinating area. I have a bike video in the making, just need to get around to editing it all up. Hopefully soon. 😁👍

Now that's precision! A masterclass in tomato cutting-no waste, no worries! 🤣 I'll be very interested to see what you uncover with your solar issue-I know how frustrating that can be! 😥
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces2 сағат бұрын
😂 the amount of tomato wastage is inversely proportional to the risk of cutting my fingers! I need to get up on a ladder and look at each solar panel....I'll get around to it one day 🙄

Morning Jason, thanks sssssooooo much. Forest Creek is actually where they lived and had a mine (buried in Chewton) so was amazing to see the old workings. Thanks, I only discovered this information a few weeks ago so happy to see it sooner than later...and note to self to hire a 4WD 😂
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 сағат бұрын
No worries, Daisy 😊 I haven't done any exploring in that area so it was a fun ride. Either bring a 4WD or be prepared for a lot of walking! Though the Welsh Village is an easy walk from a 2WD carpark.

It's interesting to see old mining towns. And apart from heritage buildings, which towns like these all have in common, is that it seems there's always some left over machinery from the boom days. I should do a trip one day centred around gold fossicking. Around the New England area of NSW, you can still get a permit and fossick for gold in the state forest. I've never tried it. It would be good to experience.

Between gold mining and logging, there machinery all over the place. A fossicking trip could be interesting, particularly in the more remote parts.

Gday Jason newbie to the channel that last bike track was pretty narly! Noticing a trend with other Oz YT channels showing free campsites being cordoned off, not maintained or closed!☹️
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces3 сағат бұрын
It seems that many free campsites are becoming long term homes for some people and they end up being a bit of a mess. In many cases I've seen these people have gone after a while and in other cases the campsites are closed. But always good to see new campsites opened such as in Marysville....that's a pretty rare occurrence!

I think after all that bike riding you could eat the whole jar of nuts atop a bowl of icecream!!
