haha superb vlog but there are a lot of good cafes and pubs for drinking and enjoying alcohol in adana. its a good idea to be there in prime time of festival (festival area is too crowded ).... this festival like a food festival in this year , last years (before the covid) the festival was more good. also due to ramadan the time of this festival started earlier than the normal time in this year. this effect negatively the feelin of orange blossoms. i really like the whole parf of your video except the man who said erdogan :D xd

@courtsandmeeks2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience of this year compared to others! It did feel very food focused this time compared to what we'd read online and the parade was not like what we had seen photos of. Maybe they changed it this year. I remember someone told us it was earlier this year because of Ramadan but I'm happy because it meant we were able to attend! Sorry about the guy dressed up who talked about Erdogan, we don't speak enough Turkish so didn't know he was saying anything bad?

That was funny. I thought you looked very orange at the start of the video, the earrings gave it away 😂😂 but it looked like you had an amazing time. I also think it’s lovely to see people really enjoying themselves without any alcohol! I love a drink but when you’re enjoying yourself it’s so easy to lose track and pay the price. I also think we have too much dependency on alcohol at events. Our Indian friends always have a lovely time alcohol free. I saw a friend for Dee Dee at the park up! Two orange campers 😁. Thanks as always for sharing a great video. I hope that donkey business feels like a distant memory now.
@courtsandmeeks2 жыл бұрын
We finally fit in Sylvia! Orange people everywhere 🤣 we had a blast and you're so right about alcohol, it's almost ingrained in us that alcohol is a part of everything. Celebrations, funerals, drowning sorrows - it all comes down to alcohol and it's really strange for us (in a good way) to be at a huge party and there be hardly any! We love the culture here and we could learn so much from them, you're right. Also... Good spot, DeeDee found her sister. A lovely Danish couple who live in Bulgaria have an orange van too!!

Wow guys what a buzz that festival is and just like it was made for you lovers of the orange. I think we would find it really hard to get used to being back amongst that many people but hey when they are so friendly and welcoming I bet that softens the blow. Can we look forward to regular Meeks describes food sections? 🧡🤣🧡

Yes, not going to lie it was all a bit strange to start with because it's been so long since being in a big crowd. If you want the Meeks describes food sections we can definitely make that more of a regular feature!

Hari OM Crikey, yeah, I can't imagine being among 10 people, never mind 10000!!! But I LOVE and envy those earrings, Courts - at the risk of repeating myself, orange is my favourite colour, and I adore the idea of this festival. I loved that DeeDee had an orange comVanion to park up with - and an orange dog (Viszla?). Gosh those chickpeas had me drooling... [meanwhile, back in this Bonny Land, spring has given way to winter - which is the wroooong way!!!] YAM xx
