Vann Berg's Apartment Air Conditioners Running + New Acquisition

Got my hands on ​⁠‪@arcticarrowhvacr‬’s 2004 Friedrich Xstar after it got replaced with a 14,000 BTU LG Dual Inverter which really impressed me.

Least you got the Friedrich x star but with the new digital control board, it needs to have a beeper noise to control when you turn the temperature up and down and power up and down so if you get a Frigidaire beeper chip it’s easier for some air conditioners with digital controls and a remote control

We've got the 14,000btu LG Inverter, 2nd year in use in the miserably hot and humid South. Has worked really well, keeps the house cooler and electric bills are slightly lower than the 12,000btu LG non-inverter it replaced. We had the 12K for 4 years. Worked well, but struggled when temps outside hit the upper 90s. The inverter model easily keeps the house in the low 70s, regardless out outside temps.How does your friend like his?

So, what's your opinion on the Friedrich Chill (the ones made by LG), along with the Chill Premier (successor to the Chill), and the Kuhl? And what is Vann Berg's opinion on the new Friedrich AC units (LG-Chill, TCL Chill-Premier, and the Friedrich Kuhl)? How good are they?

Honestly I view most of the chill series as friedrichs “cheap” units. The LG made ones are honestly decently made for whats on the market, however the premiers have honestly disappointed me. Some of my family members got chill premiers and they died within the first 2 years. The Kuhl is expensive as crap but if you want something that is built like a 1980s unit and dont care much about the cost, the Kuhl is the way to go. Personally I would take anything built in the last decade over many newer units tho. Im not too sure on Vann’s opinions on them but I assume its probably similar.
