--- THE SERIES ---
Welcome to my Old School RuneScape challenge: ''1000 Only''.
The idea is simple: I create an account from scratch and in each episode I will set myself a task, for example kill 1,000 Monsters or pickpocket 1,000 NPCS.
Once a task is completed, I am allowed to sell the entire loot on the Grand Exchange, so I can invest the profit into better gear to prepare for the next episode, and so on.
But here comes the best part: YOU, the viewer, will shape the future of the series. By releasing a poll after each episode, I give you the power to vote what task I will set myself next. This way we can do something together as a community and that makes me very excited. (link to vote at the top)
--- THE RULES ---
*General*
1. I will start my journey completely from scratch on a REGULAR account. I need to sell my loot at the end of each episode and because of that I can't be an ironman.
2. After leaving tutorial Island I have to drop every single item in my possession, but I AM allowed to get the 10,000 coins from the stronghold of security, to invest in some starting gear.
*Clue Scrolls*
1. All Clue Scroll caskets will be opened at the end of each episode AFTER completing all 1,000 kills.
2. If I don't meet a clue requirement, I may choose to pause my 1000 grind to get it as long as I keep all the loot untouched.
*Skills*
1. All skills may be trained, but have to focus on Loot From 1000 as much as possible.
2. Every fifth episode will be a Slayer only episode, where I kill 1000 slayer monsters on task.
*Quests & Diaries*
1. I am allowed to complete quests to unlock new content for future Loot From 1000 videos.
2. I am allowed to complete diaries to unlock new content for future Loot From 1000 videos.

Pretty cool new series man, would like to address some things. 1. How quests will be handled. If your not going to do them at all unless a clue scroll requires it that's fine but could be quite the unexpected hiccup in the future. Also means at level 60 attack you won't have access to most Dragon weapons. (Dragon sword is cheap and decent to use though and does not need quest to use.) 2. Before choosing the three voting options, you may want to consider taking a Slayer task and making that one of the options. The problem becomes, if it doesn't get voted on do you continue to put it as a voting option until it does get picked or let it go. Its not like you have slayer points to spend for skipping etc. Even if you do this, at best you'll kill around 100~ of them in a task so not amazing. 3. In the event the time you wait from finishing the 1,000, editing the video, uploading the video, having people vote, before starting the next 1,000 has too much downtime/wasted membership time. You may want to consider having two or three different strawpolls next video. Then every video after that would just have one strawpoll and you would be following the queue. This may be helpful in the longterm if you end up getting a very annoying task that takes days to accomplish, you would know prior to finishing your current task it was coming up, and could start working on it before you even upload the video prior to that. Just thoughts, wishing you well mate.

Thanks so much John. Let me try to answer your stuff: 1. I'm not locked to clue scroll reqs. If a certain monster or activity is interesting, I may simply choose to get the reqs and do it. So if I feel like going for a dragon scimitar, I will be able to do it. But I will make sure that these ''quests'' wil not influence my money stack too much. Also everything will be noted, so no gaps. 2. Slayer is actually a thing! My plan is to make a ''Slayer only'' video each 5th episode. This means I will kill 1,000 slayer monsters on task and calculate the loot. (for example 267 hill giants, 350 dragons, 87 cave slimes, etc until 1,000). 3. Very true, but harder to realise than it looks like. At the moment, it's all very clear. One simple poll with a clear objective. Should certain tasks take longer in the future, it'll simply take longer to upload but I will make sure to have other videos inbetween. Maybe not ideal, but in my opinion the best way to to it. Ik this is a little dark, but does anybody else find the nostalgia of this type of thing really painful? The montage starting at 2:00, seeing you do all the stuff I used to do and listening to the music I used to listen to all before I had any sort of problems or had to worry about the world or money, it really just made me realize how sad I am. A bit of tearjerking coming up : Like just about everyone that played Runescape back in the day I miss it. Those were peaceful times, where I could just run wild and explore, having fun in the fantasy world Thing is I've never been a member, never seen what it's like for my own and ultimately missed out on a lot of content Growing up my parents didn't have a lot of money, in a country where the dollar was already much stronger than our currency, so I couldn't even begin to explain what this is and how much it is Now I'm an adult and I got my own money , No one can tell me to go to bed, no one can tell me this is too expensive But I also got responsibilities, and a job and all the BS that comes with being an adult Now the game changed, nothing is as I remember , and so much has happened, it's just not the game I remember I tried briefly to even log into the game and it's all so slow and different..and Not Enjoyable Anymore Exact same thing happened with Dragon Fable too, finally I can afford all that membership nonsense, only to see that the game has changed and I don't have time to play it There's no going back, not to what I had, not to I missed on.

I really understand how you feel. It's true, things will never be the same. But just try to hold on to those beautiful memories. And trust me, even with a fulltime job and not much time to play, it can still be fun if you just enjoy completing smaller goals. In the end, this game is always a grind wheter you go for level 20 or 99. Just have fun :)

Really great series, already seems like a classic the only bit of info you missed that might be interesting is the amount of time it took to complete everything. maybe talk to Hans for in game hours after each ep

Thanks Torin! I have not included the time because I haven’t focussed on completing the goals asap, so the times won’t be accurate. Once I start doing “1000 minutes” videos we will have a chance to focus on time!

Will you add options like, woodcut 1000 yews or fish 1000 lobsters in the polls too? I feel that those would make interesting addition besides combat.

I will definitely involve skilling in the series, indeed. Maybe not as straight forward as simply ''1000 fish or logs'' but maybe think of a way to mix up the content. I could pickpocket 1,000 HAM Members, loot 1,000 Chests (and complete clues) or do something totally different. Thanks for the suggestions!
