@End2a Thanks! Your English is just fine! :-) I love the sound of Ashdown amps. Adam Clayton is one of my main influences and he has exclusively used Ashdown amps for most of his career. I love the SR506 just because it is such a versatile instrument, tonally. Thanks again!

Thanks! I was using stock strings here, but I normally use the D'Addario EXL-170-6 set.

What you do is awesome too ! For the Limp Bizkit cover I used my Ashdown T15-180 EVO II. That was basically a sound test so I don't use specific settings, everything on the middle for the amp. (and a little compression :p) For the Ibanez, it's the same thing, I've just cut some bass, and used the neck pickup. :p (sorry for my bad english :o)

@Greenwithevil Thanks! I am considering putting up a cover of Hell's Kitchen at some point. I do go to NYU! Second-year music tech grad.

Nice bass line man...and to have a setup like this turns your MK1 bright bartolini bass sound into a more beefy sound, i wonder what setup u use

Lebron James Hello! At the time this was recorded, I was plugged in to an M-Audio Transit USB interface, running into my Mac and Pro Tools 9. The only processing was through the Waves CLA Bass plug. The rest was adjusting the EQ on my bass, and scooping the mids some.

wow ...that sound quality ... It's really great. I've the same bass it doesn't sound that good. did you replace those default MK1 pickups or just using any Bass DI drive.

Thanks! Those are still the MK1 pickups. A lot of the tone came from the Waves CLA Bass plug-in I used. In fact, the CLA bass is probably the best out of all the CLA plugs. haha

nice ... thanks for the info about the plugins ... never tried recording by myself so had no idea about it earlier. What do you use for live? I mean gigs or shows. I'm planning to buy a Tech 21 SansAmp Bass DI.

hossainx The SansAmp is good stuff! I've dropped some good money on my live setup at this point, but I use it for the studio too because it sounds so good. I go into a standard Boss tuner pedal, then into the EBS MultiComp, and into the Microtubes B7K DI/Preamp. I split the signal out of the B7K - the direct out goes to the board, and the extra output goes to the amp for monitoring.

Wow that's quite expensive rig. I need to study more to know about them and how they works... BTW thanks for the info. :)
