Some Explanations: - Vanquish Soul is a pretty good midrange deck with good matchups against control decks like runick, and is capable of beating meta decks if it goes first with a strong hand, or even going 2nd if it draws the right handtraps. - Access to Razen is crucial, so playing 2 Durendal and Prosperity on top of the 3 Razen, 3 Stake, and 1 Rota, brings the number of starters to 10. Durendal is slightly inferior since it cannot let you immediately normal summon Razen, but most of the time it doesnt matter, since either your opponent will have a monster, or you will be able to normal summon a different vanquish soul monster, and then special summon razen with rock. - Fenrir is perfect in this deck. The riseheart can be a brick, but its worth playing so that fenrir can search for either attribute. - Shifter and TCBOO are intended to bridge the gap between stronger meta deck engines, and vanquish souls weaker engine. Sometimes you will get overrun by a good hand from a meta deck, even if you get a perfect turn 1 setup, which is where the unfair floodgates come in. - Crow is a decent card against purrely, but its mainly in the deck for its attribute. - Dust devil and snow devil are the big bricks of the deck, so its better to play a minimal amount of them. Continue is not worth playing, neither are the other spell/traps. Honestly you could cut them even more and just play 1 dust devil. - In practise shifter has not been that amazing, and i usually find that Earth is the attribute i am hurting for the most, so perhaps swapping shifter for ghost belle is better. - Pot of extravagence is totally fine to play. I chose not to because i thought specific access to razen in the form of durendal was slighlty more important. Pot of desires isnt in the deck for the same logic. If you play desires, you also should put an extra copy of Ceazer so you dont banish it. In the end i decided that playing the pots was encroaching on slots i wanted for a good number of going 2nd cards. - The extra deck is pretty much a non-issue. 3 rock is the only thing that you really need to play. Arise is for summoning on top of fenrir when you go 2nd into a kashtira board. The zoodiacs are for making a zeus, tornado dragon is a potential option against labrynth. Security dragon and the knightmares are easy to make when you are cleaning up games that you are winning. Goddess is theoretically a noir out, but its probably not going to happen realistically. Other options include Excition knight, and Abyss Dweller.

1. you can also put kurikara to maximize your SYS, jiaolong and razen effects. 2. ghost reaper > shifter kash, purrely, VS can play under shifter only mathmech is hurt by that card imo it's better to hit all than one. 3. TCOBO is a must. it's on the same level as ghost reaper. 4. bystial magnamhut+druiswurm can also be a good alternative for ghost reaper/shifter. aside from being dark, magnamhut searches ceasar 5. ghost belle is good but you have maxx c and razen/jiaolong can search pantera/ceasar 6. durendal is good but imo small world is better since it can swap your bricks to any card in your deck. 7. pot of prosperity is the only pot needed.

Just came back to the game and made two decks; Vanquish soul and Mannadium. I like how Vanquish soul feels a lot more. Mannadium is strong but VS just feels easier to play. Could be that I am just not used to playing with a extra deck yet.

More like the one copy of skill drain, which they just hard drew. Better floodgate won. The only hits I would want are non archetypal bans to d barrier or skill drain. Otherwise, Lab is fine, esp when their going 2nd is much worse than other decks

i dont find that to be effective right now. your maxx c will be fine vs kashtira if it resolves anyway, itll be effective. and id rather not take the chance the opponent can be playing labrynth.

I wasnt aware those decks could be combined. Seems a bit weird, but i guess the attributes are what you are going for. Probably best not to touch the unchained cards until the support comes out.

bystial are better to play right now. Crow was used mainly when purrely was the dominant deck

ghost reaper is an autowin card in this deck. VS rarely use it's extra deck and most of the time it's only for rock so u have so much card space to put in for reaper's effect.

so extra deck space is usually the least important issue for reaper. the bigger issues are that realistically you will probably have too many monsters to use it going first, and also its not always as impactful as it sounds. its a -1 that takes no immediate resource from your opponent. its easy to lose a non-engine war after dropping reaper.@@youtubeenjoyer7279
