This is an even larger step away from their Death Metal roots than their previous album was and I absolutely love that. This here feels genuinely fresh and exiting. It has a lot of awesome blackened atmosphere and is just a fun record. Definetely one of my favorites this year.
@llKoopav2ll6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, fun is really a good way to describe it. It's just one of those fun records that are also serious from a musical perspective and therefore quite good. Reminds me why i liked the first Kvelertak so much when it came out.

What are your other two favourite albums of the year?
@laporte16256 жыл бұрын
@@lacsativ1 : Creature - Inquiétudes, amazing unique and forward-thinking somewhat black metal (very limiting tag here), with unusual rythmic patterns, heavy throbbing bass, horns, and a heavy mix of epic prog from the 70s, and also other influences pretty hard to describe. The whole album really is a must listen imo, and is my #1 I think. And then you have Esoctrilihum - Inhüma, another pretty atypical release, yet in the more identificable realm of black/death. A terrifying yet magnificient release, very heavy and at the same time aerial, with surprising entrancing and beautiful melodies lurking around every corner of bludgeoning punishment.
