Back in the day, when I first set foot on skateboards, the first proper board I had was a Grosso acid face. I had no idea about the differences between ramp and street skating back in those days. To be honest, I had no idea who Jeff Grosso really was or how he skated, as a 12 yr old kid, I was given the chance to buy a board after pissing around on shitty sport shop efforts. These love letters have been a joy to watch. I cannot skate anymore because of a repeated knee injury but I still love keeping in touch with skateboarding. This series has, and continues to be, so good for me to learn about what has made me tick for the past 27 years. I love seeing the guys / names talked about and explaining the history as to why they became so prolific and I have so much respect for what they did and what most of them do now to push skateboarding. So many heroes, who probably do not care to be seen as such, which for me, makes them even more likable.
