There is a hiking trail in the northeast of the USA named after just such a burned tree trunk. Apporpritly named The Black Angel Trail.

I love your stuff. I think I can learn the technical aspects of photography but seeing the image I am having a hard time. How do learn "seeing"?
@BorutPeterlinPhotography Жыл бұрын
By observing yourself, you learn how to observe others and the world. Keep your attention sharp and the rest will follow. One more tip, be patient.

Topshit Photography soon o will have a folding camera 18x24, for now I printing with albumen paper but with digital negative... can I ask in future some advice to you about collodion?
@krisb87817 жыл бұрын
What paper are you using? do you soak it in citric acid before sensitizing ?
@BorutPeterlinPhotography7 жыл бұрын
Kris Bochenek i use Fabriano F5paper and no, no need for acidification. it is needed if you don't print it right away, so the acidification would slow down the spontenous yellowing

When I used a unsized paper in salt prints, should I use a salted, gelatin, size before adding the silver nitrate?
@BorutPeterlinPhotography9 жыл бұрын
Rotten Rottie Of course! AgNO3 will react with paper, meaning that you will not have any whites. Gelatin sizing will prevent A3NO3 to penetrate into paper.
@Rotten7309 жыл бұрын
Excellent, I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the help!
@BorutPeterlinPhotography9 жыл бұрын
Try 1,5℅ gelatin and 1,5℅ammonium choloride and then use 15% agno3 for sensibilisation
@Rotten7309 жыл бұрын
Ammonium Chloride? Is there any reason why to use that instead of Sodium chloride? Just curious I'm not familiar with some of the chemicals and am in the process of experimenting with different alternative printing methods.
@BorutPeterlinPhotography9 жыл бұрын
Rotten Rottie you can use that too, but it needs to be kosher salt, not table salt. Ammonium is more light sensitive and it gives a bit different colour tone, but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter, as long it's perfect

Great video and the results were outstanding. Thankyou for the walkthrough of your thought process and approach. Although I must say I'm deeply impressed by your beautiful german shepherd dog :) Also thoroughly enjoy your philosophy and approach to your craft. True master. I hope to one day cross paths with you.
