Was the original rear valance easy to locate? I'm currently restoring a 1971 mini and parts and panels are plentiful, just wondered what the availability is like for other older vehicles

Yes there's a company in Germany and another in the Netherlands specialising in Opel original parts. I found them through eBay. There's a few bits getting difficult to find such as A pillars, but sills and wings, valences and even quarter panels seem plentiful. This part was manufactured in South Africa where the cars have lasted well.
