Thank you for the kind words about the Maumee Bay State Park! We live in Ohio and we are proud of all our state parks. Even we reside in Columbus, we do like going to this park. First of all, because of its long bike trails that go through the woods and along the shore area and no cars are allowed to share it. Second, because of a very nice long hiking trail around the park where you can climb up the big hill and see the beautiful scenery, and, of course, because of the board walk where you can watch the turtles, snakes and fish. Also you should check another campground on Lake Erie, Geneva State Park.

Another great video! The Ekko looks so nice and that steak looks delicious! And it's funny that you filmed your camping neighbors to show "she" was baking in while "he" was outside guiding her. I do all of the driving with our travel trailer, including backing in. I too get people watching us because I guess it's not that common to see a woman doing the driving. One time I had a lady run up to my window when I was backing in and she said I was her hero, it made me feel good and my hubby enjoys having his own personal chauffeur, so I think he likes it too :o)

Commenting as I watch your video. Referring to the Winnebago View/Navion series, some owners have put the reflectix(?) under the front floorboard area. In those RVs you can evidently take up the rubber mat and put reflectix under it and then put the mat back over top. Supposedly helps with noise. I have not installed that on ours yet but hope to soon. My uncle drove their class A most of the time but let my Aunt back it in to the site. She was the better one at that. Owen, you always crack me up! You all are so fun to watch, I find myself wanting to talk with you during the video but I don’t think you would here me. I do love that under garage area. That is one of the super things of the Ekko in my book. Thanks for a great video!

It’s always fun to see a video featuring ones home state. We are originally from Ashtabula which is located in the northeast part of Ohio right on Lake Erie. It is a beautiful part of our country but the winters can be brutal! We visit often but now live in the northwest corner of SC. Lake Erie is also famous for Lake Erie Perch which is an awesome white fish. If you are ever there when sweet corn is in season you must get some. It is the best we’ve found anywhere. We never camped at Maureen State Park but will definitely keep in on our list! Glad you got to sit and rest a spell. Great video as always!

That was fun to watch! You were up in my neck of the woods - almost. :) I grew up camping all around Lake Erie and have lots of wonderful memories but it looked SO much different then; not developed, very wild and open with lots of room for energetic kids to roam and run. Maumee State Park looks very nice and I’d definitely go there. Your Eckko is super nice and I’m so glad you’re enjoying it. Take good care of yourselves; safe travels and stay well.

Always enjoy your videos! I know you had mentioned previously about possibly changing the name of your channel after switching to the Ekko from the van. Maybe something like "Exporing Lifestyle", "Adventure Lifestyle" or even "TREKKING Lifesyle". Something a little recognizable from your current name but not tied to any specific vehicle incase you decide to make a swap again at some point. Just a thought. If you decide to make a change, I'm sure you'll come up with something cool. Keep up the great videos and I'll be tuned in!

Hey Lynn and Owen (and Maggie) - a couple of questions and an idea for you. Do you feel like there’s enough inside storage, especially for the kitchen? Do you like your stainless steel plates (and what was the brand/ are they on your Amazon list?) The idea - could you remove the stove in the outdoor kitchen, and hook up your Blackstone griddle in place of the stove? Safe travels, Martha & Tony
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle2 жыл бұрын
Hey guys. We love the plates. Yes, we love the plates. Lynn found them on sale and snatched up 2 of them and they are perfect. Hold the temperature longer and don’t get hot on the bottom and have a rubber cushion on the bottom so eating out of your lap is better. Here’s the link… pricey though. www.amazon.com/dp/B08TL5KSSH?tag=onamzvantrekk-20&linkCode=ssc&creativeASIN=B08TL5KSSH&asc_item-id=amzn1.ideas.3OKQD4ER62GSB Yes, we thought about replacing the cooktop with the griddle. With a few modifications it might work but the griddle is too tall to fit in the opening along with the cooler and rack thingy.
@marthamanigross2 жыл бұрын
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle thanks so much for the info on the plates. We haven’t seen the EKKO in person so I wasn’t aware of the space issue in the outdoor kitchen. Makes sense. Just so glad for you having so much fun. Looking forward to more videos. Take care & safe travels. 🤗

Wel, in hindsight, maybe it wasn’t a great idea to cook a marinade as the first cook. She needs to season quite a bit. That said we covered it with water after cooking and let it soak while it was warm. Then I used the sprayer at the water station of the RV to rinse it off. I had to use the wooden end of the tool to get between the grooves. But, it all came off and came clean and now it’s had a thin layer of oil on the rest of the trip so it should be better next cook.
