In my opinion, no matter how you slice it, 600 lumens total light output is not enough and not worth the price. The light throw needs to be wider and a lot farther. I would maybe buy them if they put the smart features on the 1000 lumen lights.

I feel ya man. They’re great for me. And I’ve been on some larger group rides where they were perfect. But sure, better throw and more lumens would definitely improve them. I want lights that I can control with a button in my hand. Until then I'll just use a flashlight.

You could use the app to do that, but then you have to have a phone in your hand. For me, this is much better than a flashlight because it always follows where the board is going, so I don't have to think about it. They have the SL1000, I think it's called, that can mount on your helmet, board, or even be handheld. It's 1k lumens I think. And every bit as rugged as these are. Might check that out! Yeah I have the 1000. The're great, but sometimes I need that quick turn-off so I can kick up my board without blinding someone, and so I can go dark to tell if there are headlights behind me in the distance. Shredlights are a good product, they just need that one feature for me. Thanks for your videos!
