If you tap the bar really quick after a dive bomb it will sometimes go back in tune on the vintage style bridges and on those two point trems. This is not my trick, I started doing it after hearing evh talking about it in an interview. Amazingly it does work lots of the time.

I was looking at these after getting a JS22 last month that I really like. A really interesting thing I noticed is your mention of sting strings!!! My JS22 supposedly came with 9’s too but I thought they were way stiffer than the 9 gauge fenders I use. Glad to know I’m not crazy and someone else feels the same about the Jackson factory strings!

@@piercem26 Awesome! How you liking the JS12? I love that we can find such good guitars at such low cost these days! I've been dabbling in the "budget" guitars for review content on the channel...and just to see how good they are. And, well, because guitars are addictive 😜And I have to say, there are some really great brands / deals out there. Firefly has become a rabbit hole for me for sure. I've got 4 of them in the queue for production right now. An Explorer, a V, an LP, and a Wolfgang EVH striped "tribute". I've also recently bought some tools to do setups and fret work, so I'll be featuring them on here. Thank you again for watching.

I thought it might be interesting if you reviewed one of those dh gate guitars that say whatever you want on the headstock ..a "chibson". I've seen and heard enough to peak my interest for at least wall hanging purposes.

These trems were not designed to do huge dive bombs where you're slacking all the strings, they were meant for just some vibrato, not what you were doing.

I was attracted to this video because I have one of the JS22s -- two steps up from your JS11. (There's also a JS12.) I got this guitar because it's Jackson's cheapest way into their Speed Neck profile with the "compound" radius fretboard. The lower two Jacksons don't have that neck. I was curious to see what the JS11 brought to the table. Too bad about the vibrato; that's the product of that Jackson hockey stick headstock. A slicker nut would help that, along with proper slot shaping to compensate for all the strings being pulled sideways instead of straight through.

@@jasujokelainen5073 I just looked up the JS12 on Jackson's website and it says the JS12 comes with a 12 inch radius fretboard. Maybe they once did ship with the "compound" radius board, but not while I've been checking.

I've heard a lot of people saying that it goes out of tune very easily with the tremolo bar... But I don't intend to use it, does the guitar maintain its tuning well?
@VaporTrailChannel
@VaporTrailChannel 3 ай бұрын
It’s not the best tremolo out there, but that’s part of the $160 cost. If you don’t use the trem, it’s very good about staying in tune. If you’re a heavy tremolo user, it’s not the best at staying in tune. You could upgrade that bridge for around $60-100 if you later wanted a more robust tremolo / bridge. But if you have well stretched strings and all that, it’s not too terribly bad to use the trem. Like I said, though, if you’re not a heavy user of the tremolo, you should have no problem keeping that in tune. Thank you for watching?

Kramer Baretta Special or Jackson JS11?
@VaporTrailChannel
@VaporTrailChannel 3 ай бұрын
I haven't tried the Kramer, but they do make a good guitar. I think they're made in the same factory? Maybe not these two. The Kramer is more rounded and similar to the old Charvel I feel. The JS11 is more angular on all of the edges, has two hum bucker pups, more tonal control, and still has that edgy metal look to it. And the neck on the JS11 is super fast / thin. I can't tell from the images if the Kramer is. It really comes down to your personal preference, but from all of that listed, it sounds link the JS11 may be a better overall value. Hope that helps! If you prefer the body look of the Kramer, you might watch my latest FireFly Guitars review! That even has a Floyd Rose style tremolo / bridge on it and two pups with coil split. Oh, and locking tuners. All for under $200. Just published las week. Thank you for watching!
