Out of a zillion Hardcore records, this is my favorite one, a step above Hüsker Dü's Land Speed Record. Nolla Nolla Nolla LP is damn fine too.

HARDCORE FROM FINLAND? YOU BET, PUNKY!! There was a time in the early 80's when tiny Finland was probably the second best country for hardcore music. In retrospect, I think Italy soon surpassed it. Italy has a huge catalog of first class 80's hardcore. If you've never delved into it, I highly recommend you do so. There''s some totally dope sounds there. But back to Finland. I just discovered this two years ago. Before that I wasn't even aware of Varaus, . but HOLY SMOKE THIS IS ONE HELLUVA RECORD!. In their existence they only released a split LP and this e.p. I really don't see how you can get any better in Finnish punk . This is stunning in its excellence. All four songs are great but I would single out Tuhoava Voima. An unrelenting pulsing layered heavy dense melodic slab you wish would go on forever. What a scorcher! I sure would like to get my grubby little fingers on this original pressing but they rarely come up for auction and expect to pay between $300-$500 if you want it. Gotta begin to save up. jari järveläinen yes, surely you don't think Finland was better than U.S. in hardcore. Finland had great HC but not to the overall level of America.

Hello, there is nothing that does not interest me. I have heard every kind of music in the past (50 years ago) And I still do so today. Probably even when I ride in a walker. I was in Finland with friends when I was 21. and there were Janis Joplin, AC DC, Black Sabat, Dust and many groups on the radio, Singers that nobody knows anymore. We had a car without a car radio and in the tent there was no music either. Today that is unimaginable, We never thought that Finnish music would develop so strongly. If you are willing to take part in a constant change, you can listen to the latest music for many years. ... whether he or she is still absorbed in the music is something else. But that does not mean, that I find all music beautiful. There was a saying back then: Die when you hear the most beautiful music or ..

This 7"EP is a fukken klasix.. Suomi Hardcore at it's best, i am curious what did they after VARAUS disbanded? Man, i love the way this singer don't sing , i wish i know some Finish

Sehän on 1/2-lp nimeltään, ja fyysieltä olemukseltaan, eikä ep. Ja siinä biisejä mm Nagasaki 84 ja Rastat. Ilmestynyt yhden tietolähteen mukaan 1983. Onko tämäkin tosiaan samana vuonna?, miksei olisi. Sitä kuuntelin silloin ja punk-diggaus loppui just siinä 1983-4 rajoilla, uudempi ei vaan kiinnostanut, ei johtunut iästä. Nyt kun kuuntelen tätä niin vaikea uskoa, että olisin jaksanut digata silloin. Tosin aika hyvin soitettua ja suht selkeää, vähän Kohu-63-tyylistä, kuin ne olivat silloin.

Mikä hitto sen varauksen edellisen Ep:n nimi oli, sitä mä diggasin silloin 1982, tätä en muista olenko kuullutkaan..aika varmemmat soundit, laulu ja äänitys...Tuomittu elämään, menee lähelle Sartren teesiä tuomittu vapauteen...
