I used to be a satanist and was obsessed with Dimmu Borgir, Old Mans Child etc. and I still believe that Shagrath has the best vocals in the world but I don't listen to them any more, I wish there was a unblack metal band that sounded like him and his band, the closest thing I have found is Crimson Moonlight and Divine Symphony, because of these bands & other unblack, death, metalcore, etc..have given me hope and have helped me in my walk with Christ. I got my genre w/ spirituality "Hail Jesus"

If you find any other bands that sounds like Dimmu please share!! It’s a stumbling block to me still on occasion being I’m still young in my faith.. bands like this are great of course but I miss that old sound still for some reason

I have a hard time listening to the more extreme bands with the harsher vocals. I will say that some of the most biblical lyrics come from these bands. Keep up the awesome work of spreading God's word to those who so desperately need it.

Grave Declaration is I think the closest I have found to Dimmu. Antestor is also very similar especially their album "The Foresaken" which actually has one of Dimmu's old drummers on it.I know how hard it is to find similar bands with a Christian message, I too have been trying to find a lot of similar bands for some of the too satanic for my taste bands I used to or still listen to at times. Anyway best of luck and hope this helped at all.
